The breakfasts themselves were the nicest we've had in years!
Although it may have been a bad idea getting the large! ?
Everything was perfect food was really hot, freshly cooked and I particularly liked the eggs had been fancying nice yolky eggs ? lots of food though so maybe try medium next time ?
And I could have a cup of tea! (Most places we go don't do green tea which is the only tea I can drink with a meal)
Lady's were very hospitable, friendly and kind! Thankyou both ?

They filled a family of 4 before we even tried the rest on the first order. Will definitely be using brittos all the time.

6 Coast Rd, WallsendHonestly, I'm a fat lad, I'm not a connoisseur but I'm a bloody good eater with plenty of experience in the realm of sandwich shops. You cannot beat Porky's: their freshly baked sweet treats are incredible and frankly, are too cheap for the exceptional quality they are. Every hot and/or cold sandwich or otherwise I have purchased and joyfully consumed has been an almost euphoric experience. Their sausage in particular, I cannot recommend highly enough. I am so enamoured with Porkys that I would never move away from the area. I'm yet to have a buffet supplied by Porkys but they look incredible value for money and knowing how good the quality of their other goods are, I have full faith in their ability to produce a spectacular spread. I've you've never tried, you're missing out. If you have and you're seeing this 10/10 review from a serial scranner, put your own review on and spread the word. Long live Porky's, for never a crumb is spared.

I visited Costa Coffee in Wallsend on 3rd September — a little late posting this, but I wanted to call out the fantastic guest service I received.
I came in that day to quietly mark my mum’s passing anniversary. I don’t usually use Costa myself, but she always did, so it felt like the right place to go. This isn’t even my local branch, but the experience really mattered to me.
Joe took the time to talk with me about why I was there and made sure it was a special visit, even though I was emotional. It meant a lot that he went above and beyond, and it honestly turned into a meaningful moment over a simple coffee — a “toast as you were.”
I also want to mention Laura and Curtis, who were equally kind and helpful. Together they made the visit feel personal, caring, and memorable.
Thank you to the Wallsend team — it was a small act of kindness that made a big difference

East Garden Chinese Takeaway
266 Station Rd, WallsendWas once the best Chinese. Their chicken chow mein and chicken curry was the best. Their munchbox was plenty for 2. They did go through a bad spot but closed or changed management (now called Wok Station) and have returned back to their original quality. Only downside is their salty chilli crispy chicken is not the same as before.

We booked a table for 4 for and all had a Sunday roast. Such good value for money, delicious with a good portion and lovely service.
Didn’t stop to take a photo as was too busy enjoying the food. Did bring the bottle of wine home to finish which is stunning. So light and refreshing. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to return.

Unit 2, Silverlink Shopping Park, Osprey Dr, WallsendI came here with 2 friends late at night, so it wasn’t a problem finding a table. We done 3 separate orders. My friend ordered a starter and a main, but ended up getting them altogether, which wasn’t a huge issue. The food was really nice.

The man was saying them as short staff and was trying there best but a Big well done to all working tonight as the service time and food was fantastic u alk doing a great job under pressure. 27 Frank St, WallsendThey still have mostly great staff serving especially the ling time employees but the latest price increases and food quality decreases have out them over the edge. Gills are now more expensive than Dominos for pizza and that's not something to be proud of
Ive always supported the local shops over the big corporations but this isnt just a price rise to cover costs, its profiteering. Ive been a customer since Mr Gill snr opened in the 70s but I cant see me coming back given the price and poor quality of my last 2 orders.

The bad cat cafe
200 High St E, WallsendWe had a lovely time at the Bad Cat Café today. Our little one loves cats but sadly our breed of dogs means we can't have one,so we volunteer and through that found out about this café.
It was great,two very nice people greeted us,the menu was basic but more than adequate and most importantly the cats were lovely. Very sociable little things,and very friendly. The volunteers were super patient with our girl and we took some treats for the cats.
Great way to raise money for these little fur babies. Thank you!

10 Lodge Terrace, WallsendI went here for a sausage&egg sandwich & my partner got a sausage sandwich and OMG the size of the bread buns absolutely huge! Not often you get a bun that size it a sandwich shop that's for sure ?? soon as I went in the staff were smiling, very polite etc just what you need when you enter a shop and the prices were fair aswell. Iv been back again since then and this is by far going to be my place to go as I don't believe you can beat it ? I would recommend this place to anyone that's looking for a nice bite to eat, they also do -
