Visited this afternoon with my daughter for tea and cake, five star as always. My little girl loves the truffles, we can't walk past without popping in to purchase one!. Lovely friendly atmosphere.

We visited for afternoon tea, there were four of us and it was our first experience. Parking was horrendous, afternoon tea was not value for money, well over priced, it cost us £75 for four people and you were only given one drink with the deal so it actually cost us more in the end. I don't usually write a bad review, but this restaurant deserves one. It needs a good clean, skirting boards, shelves and ornaments covered in dust. Table sticky, needs a thorough degrease. Cutlery and glasses need washing and polishing. There was no draft beer, lots of items not available on the menu. The waiter was lovely, I felt sorry for him having to apologise for the restaurants short comings, it seems to me that maybe it's about to close down. I did not stay to eat because it was dirty.

Myself and my partner had the most amazing meal at silk room we would 100% recommend and will definitely be back
We had breakfast, one of the sausages was raw, ( pink ), when we mention this there was no apology, and we was told they were ment to be pink, my two sausages weren't pink.Sorry never again.
