This is the worst pizza I have ever purchased, £75 for 5 pizzas is about the price I would expect to pay. However when they arrived they were 50% dough and not cooked properly, 50% of the order went in the bin so not a good deal at all. There are much better pizza take away's in the area and this was a first and last time experience.

I'll never order another pizza from here ever again after the two we received on Saturday night. Nearly cold with sparse toppings. Very poor quality and no resemblance to the same pizza's we've ordered from this shop many times before over the years. We had received a marketing letter, informing us that it was under new management and offering us a deal as a previous customer. Suffice to say, Papa John's have now well and truly lost my custom and I'll be buying from elsewhere in future.

Not one to do reviews normally as both myself and my partner work in the hospitality trade however on this instance I have decided to make an exception. We ordered food from here with the confirmation email coming through at 21:08, last service update notifying us food had been delivered was at 21:50 but still no food. Not an issue, we know drivers may press the "delivered" button when they are 5minutes out. 10 minutes later.... still no food, being in terraced houses we decided to give the pizza shop a call just incase there was a mix up with the houses. Spoke to a lady who said it would be 10minutes - again, not an issue. 20 minutes has passed at this point and still no food, so we ring again. This time being told it would be another 10 minutes(by who we think was the same lady) and the driver wouldn't be long, the wait was due to the driver going to the wrong address and at this point the phone was passed onto a male member of staff(Tony) who said the wait was due to the roads being flooded and the driver was struggling to get to our house - which is strange as we had no issue getting to our house after work at 8pm. We did tell Tony what the other member of staff told us and he seemed so in shock he just went silent on the phone. At this point we were concerned our food was going to arrive cold(30mins after the original delivered status) so we asked Tony if he could stay on the phone to us just incase there was any issues with the food which he was fine with. Whilst waiting for the driver to arrive he offered a free dessert which we declined, then offered 50% off which again we declined. At this point the driver has arrived, and of course the food was barely warm and we were happy to refuse the food and would prefer a full refund, which Tony refused. Talking to the driver he then explained he had been given 4 deliveries to make all at once and we were last on that list with the previous delivery being in Seaton Sluice which is a minimum of 12 minutes away(our house is 11minutes away from Papa John's) We explained this to Tony and again asked for a refund which he then accepted but not immediately. And said we would need to ring back tomorrow to sort out but would need to ask for him. We did ask his position just incase there were any further issues in which he refused, asked if he was the manager which he denied and said the manager wasn't in.So overall we paid just under £40 for 2 pizzas that we had to put in our oven to heat up, cold chicken wings and a cold cheesey garlic bread.Overall a terrible service, terrible staff attitude and terrible food. Very disappointing and hope this review finds the manager and they take some kind of action.

I got a small pepperoni pizza and it tasted really nice, exactly how a pepperoni pizza should taste.Would recommend going here and then taking the pizza to the beach, enjoying the atmosphere around.

Had Papa Johns twice in the last month. Both times all sections of food were spot on, garlic dough bites unreal, had one of the new cheese based pizza and it was very flavoursome. Ordered bbq meat feast today and more toppings on it than the other well know pizza business. Puds are also a lovely little extra treat.

The food is good but less cheese in the pizza during my last visit. I ordered half and half pizza. But when i had the pizza in Scotland, it was superb. Garder Party pizza is nice. But chicken fajita pizza is less in chicken. Overall food is good but the quantity needs to be reassessed. They don't have dining area so they do only take out.Vegetarian options: They have good vegiterian and vegan options. I had Garden Party pizza which was really nice.

Don’t bother going here-I have no idea what has happened to the place as it sold delicious pizzas at the start of the year but has drastically gone down in quality. I ordered 2 XXL pizzas tonight-Philly steak and a chicken club. Both cold but the worse thing was that there was very little steak and barely any dressing in the Philly steak. You could see through to the base. I phoned and was told to bring them back-I couldn’t so only offered me a medium pizza next time I ordered. The manager refused to give me a partial refund. I will not be going here again. The customer service from the manager is terrible on top of the poor quality food.

As always, great pizzas. Can be delivered or picked up. It's only a shop/outlet so no real atmosphere hence only three stars. They have a wide range of pizzas and most often special offers. Highly recommend.
