Great place for a drink whilst watching sport. Barstaff excellent and beer is perfect. Sea view in the bar too. I must try the restaurant before I leave.

This has easily become our favourite pub, atmosphere is amazing, it feels like a family in there, everyone in there is happy to converse, we ended up playing cards with people sitting next to us!

Superb little pub. Small but excellent selection of real ale, whisky and gin.Landlady really friendly and made me and my colleague feel very welcome on a dark and windy November night.Only had drinks, so can't comment on food etc but will def return if we're back in the area.

My wife and I have visited the Brit many times over the course of 10 years, and therefore have seen the change over in ownership, and we are made to feel so welcome every time we walk through the doors. We are in aberdovey at the moment and we haven’t been since July this year, and soon as we walked into the Brit, gary welcomed us and said ‘hello you two! Not seen you in a few months’, which automatically makes us feel at home. We have also eaten in the restaurant and we can not fault any meal that we have had. If you want a local pub away from home, then the Brit is definitely the one to visit. We’ll be back, as always.Food & drinks: Fantastic Food

Right on the water. The room was great. (Room 2) so an oblique sea view but great size and fab shower. Two comfy beds and a. Tv. Iron. Board. Everything we needed. Vibrant bar and restaurant and fab owners (Gary and Shona were amazing ). Delightful part of wales which I’d never been to before and would happily return to and stay here without hesitation. Thanks again both of you.

My family had an evening meal at ‘the Brit’ two weeks ago. The food was just ok, but I was really shocked to find out that we had been charged £4 for tap water after a long hot day at the beach. My son plucked up the courage to explain to the waiter that we’d only had tap water ( he saw them pouring it) but the waiter told him the manager has told them they have to charge for it - £4!!! I believe that this is illegal in England and Wales as well as being a breach of their license. However, having now read the other recent trip advisor reviews, it appears maximising profits far outweighs customer service at the Brit now?. My family and friends were all shocked when I told them and none of us will go to the Brittania again. Such a shame as it used to be so lovely?

As a group of 3 we did not book but took pot luck to get a table. We read mixed reviews prior to visiting but we're pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was lovely. Food, the best I've had in the village. We read reviews prior to visiting which were mixed. The bar was excellent. The restaurant service was very good. The food best I have had so far in 6 days. The ambience was good. The views excellent. I can't praise our visit enough.

Really unwelcoming to families, they have a nice upstairs restaurant looking out over the bay , but won’t let anyone under 18 in there . We were shoved in a grotty little corner by the bar, with a filthy dog bowl of water under our table and the most annoying music speaker right next to our table, I asked the barman to turn it off or down as we couldn’t talk over the din but the owner ordered him to turn it back on , she then reached over our table while we were eating with another dog bowl from outside dripping water over the table, it is a really unfriendly unpleasant place and very expensive for the basic food, wish I had obeyed my instincts and walked back out , give your custom to a place that appreciates it , this place certainly doesn’t, won’t ever go near it again.

Me and a few friends decided to treat ourselves to a nice afternoon lunch because from the outside the balcony looked lovely. However, from the inside I was greeted with a hostile member of staff who wasn’t welcoming, we decided to ignored it as we were very hungry. We looked at the menu and was bagels which sounded delicious. However, that’s all there was for £12. One bagel. No chips, no complimentary side dishes. Not only that but there was no smile when receiving the food. The questionable looking older lady decided to slam the plates on the table as if we just called her a looney (which wouldn’t be far off). We felt as if we were unwelcome. Much prefer the dovey or even the tides if you’re looking for just a drink.
