A return visit to this wonderful restaurant has more than confirmed my initial impression. The friendly, very professional, staff served up some of the best food I have ever experienced in my 80 years. If that sounds a touch hyperbolic then I would add that my son, daughter and oldest friend each, independently, said it the best restaurant they had ever visited. If the above isn't enough to persuade you . . . the prices are very reasonable, it has a full page of vegetarian and vegan options and the portions are tremendous

We recently ate at Sundarbon & the food was authentic, so flavoursom, utterly amazing. Two of our party are Vegan & the waiters knew exactly what we could & couldn't order, which is a big bonus. The restaurant had a great, relaxing ambience & all the waiters were very professional & friendly. The whole experience was first class, that much so that we have booked to go back again already.

Excellent food and service. My brother and I wanted a big, delicious meal after walking on the hills and that’s exactly what we had. Thank you!

Worst Takeaway I have had. Korma watery and tasteless. Mushroom rice very little flavour, Garlic Nan bread also tasteless, so disappointing. On a positive note the Gentleman taking payment was very nice and courteous.

I recently took my twin nephews for a drive from Cardiff, we came across Sundarbon in AbergavennyBeautiful location with secured parking which is a great bonusWe had the Naga chicken, Nawabi and my favourite the Salli Ghoast, I highly recommend you try the 3 dishes I named, the hospitality there was also amazing, the restaurateur Ali spend great deal of time talking to us and discussing his menu, I also noticed he did the same with every other customer who walked in.Will return back soon.

Following other reviews a friend and I booked a table last night. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The decor and ambiance were luxurious, tasteful and comfortable. Now for the food . . . it was fantastic! An excellent and comprehensive vegetarian menu led us to order far too much as the portions were generous. Mind you,we did full justice to the tableful that we received! Including drinks the bill only came to £48 and this will easily be far less next time, now we know not to over-order.I can't wait to pay a return visit and can highly recommend this lovely hidden gem.

Quite simply the best, most consistent Indian restaurant not only in south Wales but full stop, and thankfully it is only 15 minutes away from home. Whenever we visit it is full, the queues for take-away collections are long and each and every visitor is greeted by name by Ali and his team. Food is amazing, whatever dish we choose, portions usually require a take home and it’s great value. Ali is a great host, knows his trade, his clientele and always provides a great welcome to both regular and new customers. Visited last night, had an amazing meal and will enjoy the leftovers tonight. Will revisit very soon!

Having looked up the reviews for this restaurant whilst visiting Nr Abergavenny, we decided it looked the best. We were not disappointed. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. It was a very busy Saturday night, so we’re given a table upstairs as if booked for 7 people. It was a lot quieter and colder than downstairs but it soon warmed up. I ordered my usual chicken pathia madras hot and it was exceptional ! Sooo tasty and one of the best I have ever had. My Hubbie had the chicken and mushroom balti, sister the chicken tikka massala and others tucked into chicken tikka main , chicken tikka shashlik and chicken saag…. Thoroughly enjoyed it, would definitely recommend and will be back next time we’re visiting the area !!

I drive 32 mile round trip to get these currys . By far the tastiest around and worth the extra effort to retrieve. Packed full of spices , chilli , good quality tasty succulent meat. We love the food. Attentive , kind , welcoming waiters and a owner who cares about good food and it's customers. Prices are the best around and there's no scrimping on portion size or quality. The restaurant is ambient and comfortable. I have never been cold when there. The best curry we have tasted in the uk and abroad and we like to travel. If I could eat at this restaurant 7 days a week I would. We love it ! Absolutely superb! Best Indian in South Wales. Give it a try you'll want to go back again and again! The Murgh masala is meaty and tasty and moreish . Yummy ?
