Unit 4 The Courtyard, Lion St, AbergavennyA large group of members from the Rotary Club of Abergavenny enjoyed a lovely evening at The Gaff Restaurant recently. The food was absolutely delicious and enjoyed by everyone. The staff were attentive and friendly, and service overall was first class. We would all highly recommend visit to The Gaff Restaurant. We would also like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Danielle for giving up some of her valuable time to assist with the judging of the 2026 Rotary Young Chef competition, which was held recently at King Henry VIII School.

Such a cute little cafe in Abergavenny definitely a hidden gem that people really need to try. I ordered a cappuccino with chocolate and a raspberry white chocolate cake, both delicious especially the cake, lots of options with the cakes too (couldn’t decide what to get at first with so many to choose from) I would say that the cakes stand out the most at this place!
The decor inside was so cute especially with all the Christmas decorations at the moment, they also have an outside garden which you can also sit (which would be perfect for the summer)
The only thing would be it’s very very small inside so not many people can fit inside I would recommend going just with one other person but it’s a lovely space!

Kiosk 7, Cibi Walk, AbergavennyThe best bakery in town! Dominico’s focaccia was the best I’ve ever had and sustained us for our hiking in the beautiful surrounding areas (see pic ☺️). We also got a calzone and the arancini and all were delicious ? Cannot recommend this place enough!

The Angel Hotel, 15 Cross St, AbergavennyOverall, a fantastic restaurant experience! We had the set menu (starter and main) for £25 with a party of 15 (booked ahead). The staff were very accommodating for our group size, especially as we had a few children with additional needs.
Patrick was exceptional in charisma and warmth. We would come back for his service alone!

The pub is in a beautiful location in the countryside.The staff are friendly and the service is excellent.

Hereford Rd, Mardy, AbergavennyWow.....what a brilliant we night we had with Kayleigh and Justin as our hosts. Their brilliant pub on the edge of Abergavenny in the Mardy is a special little pub. Beautifully renovated, a great range of beer, wines and an impressive rack of spirits and shots. A good pool table and darts board add value to any visit! They hosted a special family event for us. Nothing was too much for them ....so accommodating. The back bar space is perfect for a party of 20-60 people. Plenty of space for a buffet in the side room. They allowed us to set out the room as we wanted, allowed us to set up some music and lights and there is plenty of room to dance. All in all a perfect place to go for any occasion from a couple of quiet drinks to a cozy party space! Thank you K and J you made our parent's night!!

Cinnamon Tree understands the subtle range of indian spice flavours. it's not one of those restaurants which kill flavour with chilli in order to sell more beer. Service also good, attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommended. Looking at the many reviews exactly 2 months ago, these seem to be a campaign to undermine this restaurant. I have eaten here several times and the food has always been good. No way it's undercooked! Best Indian in Abergavenny.

Drinks were made perfectly, the cakes were delicious and most importantly the owner and daughter are a delightful pair. It makes you genuinely happy to see small businesses thriving and they deserve all the praise for making this experience so great.
Side note: the homemade brownie may have been the best I have ever eaten.

Sweet potato/pepper soup was on the menu and it did not disappoint. The cafe is cozy and the service was wonderful (thank you Jo and Hannah!). The Cwtch Cafe lived up to its name and definitely felt like a warm and safe cuddle. I took a slice of cake home for later. I will definitely return during my stay.

What I was impressed with was the professional way the manager (didn't get her name, sorry!) dealt with a misogynistic boor who was rude and aggressive to my wife, daughter and grandson. The manager gets 5 stars and deserves recognition and thanks.

Kings Arms Hotel
29 Nevill St, AbergavennyThe stay we had was a lovely experience. The food we had from their restaurant was amazing. Real home cooked food. There home made tar tar sauce with there fish and chips was one of the best I ever had. I would also recommend there puddings. Breakfast was also cooked fresh. None of this cook it and leave it on a hot plate. You put your order in and it was cooked fresh. We will definitely be returning as there so much to do in the area.
