Called in for a Sunday lunch a few weeks ago pretty poor standard of food. Cauliflower cheese was mainly black like it had gone off, should never have been served in the first place. sent it back, replacement was ok. Beef was like old shoe leather, vegetables under cooked. Won't be rushing back.

Quick lunch....my partners was good but mine was shocking....12 quid for cheap supermarket garlic bread, garnish and a mouse sized dried and cold lasagne. Rip off Britain catches me unaware again. Live in the town but not ate here in years ....wish I hadn't.

£12 for a microwave Lasagne that was drier than the garlic bread next to it. Poor service, didn't come and check on us, didnt offer sauces or drinks. Others were happy with their food but not good for me.

Haven’t been here in years.Called in for lunch on a Thursday and found was fabulous- I had Pheasant breast and wife had Beef and Stilton pie. Both cooked and prepared really well. Will definitely return!

Disappointed & won't return sadly. Sunday lunch, beef hard to chew & potatoes just like rubber, no roasted potatoes just boiled & had no taste.

Went there with a friend for a drink. What a great pub, a drinking man's pub. I was given a glass as well. I'll be back, one day I hope.

Such a shame the new owners haven't maintained the standard of cookery we previously enjoyed. Soggy pie pastry with cold chicken. Burger in a cheap untoasted bun with no onion/pickle and all served on cold plates. The waitress was fabulous and must have been embarrassed to serve such bad meals. Add to that now 'dog friendly' so we ate to the musical ? accompany of at least 5 dogs. Been eating here for years...... not in the future though

This was our first visit. It was excellent in all ways. An excellent seafood platter and a big gammon steak you couldn't want for more. The service was great as well.
