Lovely, tidy pub with great food. I had the Welsh rump steak, asked for medium and cooked perfectly, the chips and onion rings were also very good.I didn't feel particularly welcomed by the staff who seemed quite pre occupied, the person who greeted me was oddly stern.I drank a pint of pedigree which was as expected and good. It was a shame there were no local brews available, I assume this is a brewery/brand issue. My total was £21.95 which I think was great value for money. I entered at around 5pm on a Saturday, it wasn't busy but became more so over an hour. I think it's a good time to eat at the pub!

Great food with welcoming staff. Food was served in good time even though they were busy. Food was fresh and good sized portions. The bar serves a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Good price for food and drink. Dog friendly inside and even served the dog some treats when we sat down.

Called in here for some lunch while in the area as was dog friendly and wasn't disappointed old style traditional pub with traditional pub food. Great pub and good service couldn't fault it and was getting very busy. Food was good quality and reasonable prices. Will definitely be going back even if jst for couple of drinks. My new go to pub while in the area. Only down side no parking however slightly past it heading towards Ross on sea direction is a free car park. (Library car park) around 100 yards. Great to use while visiting here.Parking: Us library Car Park

A lovely pub in Wales, a warm, friendly welcome on arrival from the waitress and landlord. There is a good range of traditional ales and bitters ,and a good range of lagers available, I settled for a pint of guiness which was well poured and tasted delicious. The menu has a good range of starters on offer and a good selection of traditional pub grub ,and a small selection of sweets. There is also a small specials board available. We settled on the lamb shank with mash potatoes and a selection of vegetables, the chicken curry with rice chips, and naan bread and a burger and chips they were all delicious and well presented ,we all left with full bellies .highly recommended 10/10Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options availableKid-friendliness: The child's menu is available

Recently had Sunday lunch as we have a caravan in the area. On arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant young girl. Ordered our drinks at the bar and she kindly offered to bring them over to our table. We had a prawn cocktail and garlic mushrooms to start both plentiful and delicious. I had roast beef and my husband had the roast turkey. All cooked perfectly and piping hot. The vegetables were fresh not frozen, mash and roast potatoes, homemade Yorkshire pudding, homemade stuffing, homemade gravy too. We actually could not believe how much meat we had it was just amazing and all their meat comes from the local butcher across the road Gwalia, absolutely delicious. Service was excellent and all staff were very welcoming. The whole experience was excellent and very good value for money.Definitely won't be our last visit. If you're in the area definitely give it a go.

Lovely old pub/ restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean and comfortable rooms. Close to main road so easy to find. Situated on edge of the village. Lovely views and close to coast after miles away. The good and service were great. The bar is well stocked and competitive in prices. We had a pleasant and comfortable weekend stay.

Me, my partner and my friends visited this pub tonight (19.09.23) with our two frenchies and they accommaded us on a table last min. The staff were all super friendly. The food was amazing, my homemade curry was tip top and they even gave me an extra nann (thanks for that). Couldn't not fault anything. They even gave our dogs treats. If we weren't here just for a holiday, we'd defo come back. The owner was lovely and came and said hi. The music was good as well, an all round tip top night, thanks ?

Our friends booked a table for four for a meal. We all chose different things from the menu and everything looked nice that we ordered. I had the homemade curry with a kick, which didn't disappoint ?All meals arrived at same time and looked very fresh. Service good aswell. Thank you ? x

We visited recently with our dog. He was made to feel very welcome and a big fuss was made of him. We had a veggie burger and gluten free fish and chips. The food was very reasonably priced and all home cooked. The chips were fabulous! The drinks are also reasonably priced. We will certainly visit again if we are in the area.

Wow wow wow. Popped in for Sunday roast on the off chance and do not regret it.It was busy and most tables reserved, so I recommend you book if you know you want to go.Considering the time (teatime) and how busy they were the food was served incredibly quickly. We both had the roast lamb which was a very generous serving with perfectly cooked accompaniments including a home made Yorkshire pud! The mint sauce also tasted home made and was delicious.Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area

This pub was not a chosen destination. Rather, we met up with friends last minute and were looking for someone to eat and stumbled upon the Harp expecting no more than the bare minimum. How wrong we were! Beth and Nicky, working single handedly during a very busy lunch, in which they were dealing with a packed beer garden too, were the epitome of charm and warmth and professionalism. Nothing was too much trouble and service was more like waitress service as they kept us plied with food and drink and all we needed. It was truly fantastic. Great no nonsense food in a proper old fashioned pub, but transformed way above the ordinary by these two lovely women who made it so special. Thanks a million.

We called in on the off chance of getting a meal and the place was very busy . We was greeted with a friendly and welcoming service and they quite happily managed to fit us in . The food was served in good time considering how busy it was and was absolutely amazing from presentation to taste and value . Would strongly recommend trying this place but would advise on booking.Parking: There is a car park less than a minute walk away that is free for up to 3 hours
