The smallest piece of fish I've ever had from a chippy. Just over an inch wide. More like a fish finger.I been going there for years, no more! I'll go somewhere else.Waste of £10

Great food, arguably the best fish and chips in Aber, just note they turn the fish fryer off 30 mins before closing in my experience so make sure you got at least 45 mins before

Thought I'd give it a go after the usual chippy had closed for Xmas....huge mistake. Nothing more can be said than it was only fit for the bin which is exactly where it went! Chips that were mostly raw, stone cold beans (if you could find any the portion size was that small) and sausages that looked that anemic they could've been mistaken them for being boiled and not fried.

I've been coming here since I moved to Aberystwyth and it's always been my favourite chippy but the piece of fish I have just been served is frankly embarrassing for the price. Literally half the size of any piece of fish I've had in any chip shop before. Massively disappointed that my favourite chippy has gone down the pan. Avoid if you want to get what you pay for.

Normally not a bad fish and chips, but nothing special, the fish is always always on the small side, but today we both had fish and chips and the fish was the smallest we’ve had from there. Apart from it being small, it was as thin as you could possibly get it,… The fish with batter on has to fried crispy as you would expect, but in doing so the fish inside, because it was so thin, had literally gone as crispy as the outside batter, It really was that thin! And the price for this piece of fish was £5.50 each, plus your chips! It’s got to be an expensive game for a fish and chip takeaway and it makes you think twice as to whether to nip down the road to the local Morrisons where you are guaranteed to get a lovely fish and chips with peas for £7. What has happened to the price of a piece of fish has now gone beyond!

They apparently close at 9pm, however I entered just after half past eight the fryers were cold, there was only enough chips for two people and nothing but pies and sausages left. I can't get a takeout on a Friday night?? Ridiculous way to run a mediocre chippy.

Best chippy in Aberystwyth area is in Penparcau. Crispy chips, good portion size, amazing curry sauce. Consistently top notch?

We came across this business totally off the beaten Track/ Road while visiting around Aberystwyth.. You do need to search for it because this particular business is just outside Aberystwyth itself.. The fish here is just genuinely excellent .. Soft, even layer of batter and a full piece of fish that just melts away.. Since finding it off of the roundabout, we've returned to it for fish& chips on a Friday when we've been back visiting the area around Aberystwyth.. Pictures hopefully show you what I describe here on this forum .. Many people arrive after placing phone orders, and so that says something to me personally ..

Let me start by saying I put 3 * for atmosphere because its a lovely chip shop, but what type of question is this for such an establishment..?This is a very unassuming, small fish & chip shop..But in my opinion, do not allow that to deter you from purchasing a truly delicious piece of fish from here. From what I personally saw in regards the fish itself, the person was holding two fresh pieces of fish to cook for our order..The fish batter was smooth and even, and the actual fish was meaty and delicious..We've been to a nearby holiday park and on two separate occasions,we've stopped at this business to purchase fish & chips..Chips are chips, we can't really say much about that can we.But we'll DEFINITELY be returning for that fish for our meal when we return..At Morrisons r/bout..( so supermarket is behind you..)4th exit..Head up the inclined road to a smaller roundabout.Take 2nd exit..200yrs on right..You'll see a premier store..Just past store..You will find this fish& chip shop..
