Really enjoyed our meal at Aroy Dee in Bangor. Just round the corner from Traxx Hotel, where we were staying. It was busy. Always a good sign. Relaxed and very welcoming. Everything was cooked freshly and authentically Thai.

Shockingly bad, it was a strange Chinese take on Thai food that was poor quality. The staff were lovely.

Booked on the reviews posted here. The place is a cafe: formica and all. The food was poor especially the chicken which tasted as if it were boiled: very little taste. No nuts in the Massaman which is usually a constituent. To be fair it was cheap ish £30 for two meals and two beers but I would preferto spend another £10/£15 and get a quality meal. The reviews here do not represent our experience.

Went there for food, food service was very slow ordered one starter to share and 4 main dishes. Took 45 minutes for just the one starter to come out. Took another 50 minutes for the main to come out.They do not seem to have the capacity to cook for many tables at once as people were served table-by-table with one dish at a time which slows the service. Probably alright if you're the only table there.
