Jones' Pizza

Excellent place for eat in pizzas.
First and foremost, the service is excellent. Very quick to be seated (ensure you have a reservation), staff very friendly and attentive. The order was well timed so that you have enough time between starters and main abd served quickly even though it was very busy.
Pizzas are very personal and everyone likes them in many different ways. Jones are big, very big, cooked to perfection with that slightly charred taste which may not be to everyone's taste but they're the nearest thing to authentic Naples style pizzas .
Great ingredients, not overloaded but the sensation in your mouth is second to none .
The place itself is quite small so booking is essential, very cosy and clean, staff very friendly and they're there to please you.
Unfortunately I only come to Bangor to visit my daughter who's at uni here but make an effort to eat here every time we pay her a visit
And by the way, the cheese and garlic bread starter, to die for!

Phoenix Cafe

Mixed Chicken-Kofte Kebab is a winner!Freshly home made authentic recipe……Their coffee is a must after dinner!Ambience takes you to Asia!It’s a safe friendly atmosphere!We’ll come back with friends and we highly recommend Phoenix Cafe!!!

Pizza House

Best pizza in Bangor, always has been.

Have been having pizzas here since my Uni days back in 2006 (or earlier). Amazing deep pan pizzas that have had *that* Pizza House taste consistently for more than 25 years.

We drive 10 miles (from the east coast of Anglesey) regularly for a pizza, because it’s simply, the best. Better than any take away / restaurant on the whole of Anglesey in my opinion!

Owners / staff have been there many years and are lovely. Always happy to serve you or answer any questions.

We recently went veggie / vegan and the vegan cheese from here is the best on a pizza I’ve tasted! (Again comparing to all the restaurants including Dylan’s, Tavern on the Bay.. etc).

You can order online (I recommend this for the busy periods). I’ve also seen they deliver if you live within so many miles.. and reviews will show you the delivery is fantastic.

University Plaice

You absolutely need to order food from this place. Amazing customer service from start to finish. And the food is amazing. Gurjant and Arj are so polite and will bend over backwards to give you the best service. Please people phone directly to the shop as these guys have to pay 20% if you go through any of the delivery sites. X

Antelope Inn

We called in for lunch today after looking for a dog friendly pub. Food was quick hot and tasted good. Staff were polite and efficient will definitely go back when next in the area

Went here with my partner on 25/04/26. The food was impeccable and arrived within 15 minutes!! Drinks were even quicker and were so refreshing. The servers were really lovely.. couldn’t have asked for anything more! Atmosphere of the restaurant was very vibey and chilled. Highly recommend!! ?

Clio Lounge is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy a great meal! The atmosphere is stylish, cozy, and welcoming, making it perfect for everything from a casual coffee to a full dining experience.

The food is delicious—fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavour, with a great variety on the menu to suit all tastes. Everything is beautifully presented and consistently high quality.

The staff are friendly, attentive, and always make you feel welcome, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. Clio Lounge is definitely a place I’d recommend—I’ll be coming back again soon!

Bethesda chippy

Not gonna lie, looked at the menu and thought: no way.Whenever theres a big, varied menu I think they cant pull it off, it must be bad.But we've worked our way through quite a few items, and can safely say that everything is BEAUTIFUL.It is always cooked perfectly, hot and tasty.My favourites are the wraps with some chips, and my partner loves the pizzas - they are the nicest pizzas going, not bad for a chip shop!The fish was perfect, the burgers were perfect, the kebabs were perfect, hell even the onion rings were perfect.You can't find a better catch-all takeaway anywhere.Always a lovely service too, we find it hard to abstain from ordering from here. It's addictive, but in a very good way.No doubt they will have another order from us by the weeks end... Its THE BEST!

Star Kebab and fried chicken

I think in Bangor this is the only decent takeaway. The food was good. Pizza is popular. Many variety of Chicken rolls and burger. We stayed in Bangor 3 nights and twice we have eaten her.

The Best Kebab

Best Kebab is my go-to takeaway in Bethesda. The lamb shish wraps are SO delicious and food is always served with a smile. This place is perfect for take away or sit-in, alone or with friends �����

Sunshine Take Away

This is the nicest Chinese takeaway we have been to in Bangor. The lady serving is always wonderful, and the food is fast and always piping hot. We ordered the salt and pepper box with a side of Chow Mein and it came to £23, with some free prawn crackers. We always come back to this takeaway, the lady serving is lovely enough to make us want to come back.

Stupendous service, all smiles and friendly demeanours, and decent greasy grub.
The food is nothing special, but I felt like I stepped into a friend's house for a nice cheap burger and chips here. I've never been treated so politely at a joint like this before.

I can't speak for delivery issues that others have reported, but the service for us was fast, efficient, and the food was actually TOO hot, but there wasn't any excess oil on the chips that's common in so many other takeaways.

Absolutely wonderful little takeaway joint.
It is worth noting that they only take cash in-store.

Fantastic tasting fresh food still hot after the 10-15 minute drive home fella behind the counter was really helpful and it’s has definitely got to be the best kebab shop in Bangor

This is hands-down the best Italian restaurant outside of Italy. It's authentic Italian food - no mass produced rubbish, just delicious, hearty Italian fayre. Can't recommend this place enough. Make sure you book well in advance!

Nice Irish pub in upper Bangor. They reckon you can get the best Guinness in Bangor here. I’ve not tried every establishment but I did enjoy the one I had. The fella behind the bar (Patrick) is a character and happy to chat. He’s got some good stories to be fair. Liverpool fan so I was alright with that ? hope your leg/foot is better pal ? ? ??????? ?? ?

Oh My Cod

My opinion it’s the best Chippy around throughout Bangor and Caernarfon. Cheerful atmosphere with always plenty to say, generous portions at a fair price.
And above all …it tastes lush.

We visited Bangor for the evening and stumbled across this pub. Keith, Linda and Lynn were so kind and welcoming and we loved our time here!! Would recommend 100%!

Best chinese in bangor, the lady at the counter is always so lovely. The food is amazing, my husband and I always get the salt and pepper chips, highly recommend.

Bangor Chinese Takeaway

You will not be disappointed I mean it! Everything was supreme, the roasted beef, the wrapped shrimps, the duck. Excellent value for price, even the black pepper sauce was brilliant. I didn’t know what to choose so here is what I did, maybe it works for you too, you don’t need to know the name of the dishes, I didn't.

Call and tell them what you want (e.g., beef, noodle, roasted beed, chicken, duck, mushroom, etc.).
Then ask for sauce recommendation and for sides (I liked the plain rice, went well with the roasted beef).!

Mike's Bites

Fantastic large English breakfast for £10, very big portion and good quality. Coffee is good as well for a good price (2.80 for a cup of latte). Highly recommend.

Mountain Water Takeaway

Great value for money smaller portions but for the price it was excellent value cost me £34 for 2.crispy chilli chicken 1.satay chicken 1.chicken balls 1.rice 1.BBQ ribs 2.chips and prawn crackers that would cost £55 roughly in Glasgow and it was all lovely would recommend buying one extra main if you’re a family of four and are very hungry but it hit the spot for us. Excellent

The Bull Inn

Great atmosphere in this pub, the barman was very knowledgeable about his beer, and had some from all around the country. Unfortunately as it was Easter weekend the cask had run out ?. One of those kinds of pubs that you like to find in a local Village, might need a lick of paint but you don't go into a pub for the paint atmosphere is fantastic

Rascals Cafe Bar

Rascals has quickly become me and my partners favourite bar in the whole of Bangor. The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, with all kinds of people frequenting the place.
We especially love the jukebox! Gav and Daz have made the place a worthwhile spot to visit.

China Hot Chilli Chinese Restaurant

Only been here twice (so far) and WOW! Beautiful food. Clay Pot slow cooked Beef and potato curry. Stunning. Salt and pepper spare ribs are banging. All mains are around £10-£13. Portion size is very good. Cash only by the way. Car park right opposite. And best of all. The place opens at noon on Saturday. Who doesn't love a early afternoon Chinese sit in. 5/5

Neis

Bought a chocolate brownie to take away. At first, I felt it was a little pricey at £3.50 but WOW, it was the best tasting brownie I have ever eaten (and I often plump for one of them if they are available where I am visiting). Lovely and gooey in the middle and with a little bit of crunch on the top too. Seriously worthy of some 5-star restaurant!

Kyffin Cafe Deli

A wonderful little café in Bangor, in my opinion the best in the city. A little quirky with various goods for sale, and I believe opening a bookstore on the side. Excellent range of teas and I am told good coffees. Range of home baked cakes and other delicacies to eat. Very relaxing place to rest, meet up, read, etc.

Bar Uno

I was skeptical I would like it because I’m not used to the foods here in the UK yet… but the Chicken Uno Burger is something else!!! I loved it so much that I think I’ll spend these two weeks ordering it every time I go there! I wouldn’t even try anything else.

It’s crunchy with excellent proportion of chicken to bun, and the toppings match extremely well.

The staff is very friendly & helpful as well!

Pre ordered snd collected on time. Chicken curry, egg fried rice and special chow mane, free prawn crackers. Very tasty, will visit use again next time when we are in the area.

I'm English and I love this place, but before you go there and start leaving bad reviews because the staff and customers started to speak Welsh the moment you walked through the door I thought I'd let you know they didn't wait until you came in, they were already speaking Welsh, because they're in Wales and they are Welsh. It's kind of like when you go to Spain and the locals all speak Spanish, kind of crazy that isn't it.Anyway back to the pub (I wish), it's a great place, the staff are great, it's out of the way of the high street so no rowdy crowds bursting in from the other pubs and I've always felt welcome. A little advice though if you are English, after you've ordered your pint or whatever and they hand it to you try saying diolch, you might feel like an idiot and might even mispronounce it but it's one word that they'll appreciate and hopefully it'll put a smile on their face.

This place never changes (been going since school lunch break when i was 11), am now 38 living in Worcestershire and still return to my old haunt.Great value, speedy service and amazing food.Love the family xx

Lovely medium sized pub, the staff were very friendly and polite the atmosphere was really nice and welcoming, they had a good range of pub activities such as darts and pool.
