You must see Fire Queen in the railway museum. Fabulous.

We ordered 1 scones and butter, 1 Short bread, I hot chocolate with marshmalows and cream and one hot chocolate just basic without the extras. The cafe only had 4 people seated and only us being served. Both hot chocolatrs we made very slowly and served almost cold and it was hard to taste chocolate, more like warm milk with a hint of choclate on top even after the long preperation. The hot chocolates were far worse than the good ones you get in wetherspoons for a third of the price with free refills! Both scones were dry and fell apart when buttered. Overall very disapointing and a waste of money, beware!

Several items of hot food not available at 1100. Very ordinary selection of overpriced sandwiches. Overcrowded, not helped by some staff obviously not well trained, slow service, confusion over how to operate card payment machine etc etc. Generally unrpofessional staff and not well organised. One to avoid, assuming you have paid the rip-off price to get in to the place.

We came here to do parkrun on our journey home from Caernarfon what a morning it absolutely poured down of rain so the views were of mist. We then finished and enjoyed a cuppa from the cafe and then the rain had stopped and the views appeared we will be back to explore as the route would of been stunning had the weather been sunny ?

Avoid ordering the Welsh rarebit, wish I had taken a photo. Terrible a disgrace. Asked for it to be taken away and exchanged it for baked potato which my husband had ordered.

Six of us decided to have a bite to eat in the tearoom whilst visiting the castle and we were all happy with the food and drink that we bought - the prices weren't too bad, and the food was good quality. It was just a lovely cosy place to rest after walking around the castle for a couple of hours.

The cafe was very good, a little pricey but you expect to pay more from the National Trust. The two lads that were behind the counter were most helpful and very courteous. Enjoyed the experience.

It is a shame that National Trust properties are now nearly always self-service, and this is no exception. That said, it was a nice enough place to have a light lunch and my pulled pork bap with coleslaw was very nice.

Problem - quickly and diplomatically resolved. Allow 5 or 6 other items I purchased a ham and cheese toastie ( that is what the description said). However, on receiving this i found that it was covered in mustard seeds (something I am allergic to ). Problem quickly resolved, and I was a happy customer, but it did state this on the pack but only in 4pt brown type - totally lost against the crust of the sandwich - can the cateirng manager at the tea rooms talk to their suppliers and get something legible, as this was only a very minor problem , but as we know from recent events could have much more serious repercussions. I must point out that the staff at the tearooms were excellent.

Sort of felt we shouldn't have come in, as they were clearing up around us making us feel unwelcome. Again issue with signing which pretty well negated the one way system. Staff watched people going the wrong way and ignored it
