We ate here last night and it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten! I had the goats cheese tartlet and my partner had the bruschetta and for main course we both had beef wellington. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert. The food and service were perfect and the restaurant is really lovely. Thank you so much, we had a fabulous evening!

Me and my girlfriend have just had the most incredible meal tonight...everything was fantastic but Janet's steak and my beef Wellington was truly out of the world...I wouldn't eat anywhere else in Barmouth...Memorable.

Lovely intimate restaurant. The best food in Barmouth by far. Other places menus look good but clearly can’t cook. This chef knows what he’s doing. The monkfish, chicken and freshly caught lobster were to die for. The service is discreet but really professional. Friendly and makes you want to return… and we will as we visit the area often.

Friendly service. The food was excellent. We had Sunday lunch. The gravy was excellent. Everything tasted freshly cooked

On a recent trip to Barmouth we pre-booked this restaurant based on the reviews we had read and we are glad we did. The place does not look particularly exiting from outside but we received a warm welcome and we were treated to an exceptional meal.We skipped the starters looking forward to dessert instead. My wife chose the Rack of lamb in mustard & herb crust with red wine sauce. I went for the Lemon roasted chicken supreme with garlic prawns, slow roasted onion & peppers with basil dressing. Both dishes were served with carrots,French beans, broccoli and potatoes. We also decided to try the Patatas bravas as a side dish. Although the meals included vegetables we were not sure if they included one of our favourite Spanish dishes so we added them to the meal. We drank the La Caban Viognier accompanied by a bottle of tap water. For dessert my wife had Classic cream brûlée with raspberries and I had a combination of Blackcurrant and coconut sorbetEverything about the meal was superb. Delicious, well prepared food with excellent service made the whole experience truly memorable. I expected a hefty bill at the end of such a lovely meal but was pleasantly surprised to have to pay just £88.50. Service charge is not included in the bill which is a refreshing change from the practice in many restaurants. Having said that such good, efficient and helpful service deserves reward. We will certainly book this place again when visiting the area and would recommend it as a place to try but remember to book in advance.

What a little gem. I think they can seat 16 people max. We were lucky to get the last available table. The menu is fairly short but well constructed and the food, beautifully cooked. We had a charcuterie board to share, monkfish and cod. The “chips” are stunning. The lady who serves on, (she must own it) was absolutely brilliant in the way she handled the evening. She made it look effortless and we all know that it isn’t.Top place!

We had a fantastic meal here tonight - the service was spot on and the food was stunning. It was a very relaxed evening and we didn’t feel at all rushed at any point. The steak was cooked to perfection and the risotto was the best I’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be back next year when we’re back in Barmouth! We hadn’t gone prepared with a tip, but as it was so deserved we’ll make sure we get it to them somehow. A thoroughly enjoyable evening - thank you!

Very intimate restaurant with fabulous food. This was our 2nd visit this year, and it didn't disappoint. You need to book well in advance. Varied menu, all beautifully cooked and presented and good value. Will definitely visit again.

We have visited this restaurant 3 times. First 2 visits we really enjoyed but our last visit we didn't enjoy so much. Starters were ok but my husband and I both had cod loin for our main. It was cooked beautifully but there wasn't much taste to the whole meal the lobster bisque sauce that was served with it was so transparent on the plate....you could hardly see it!

We would just like to thank the Chef and all the team everything was absolutely fantastic! We could arguably say this was the best meal we have had in a long time! Very highly recommend! Wished we’d booked for more than one night!! Truly was amazing!

My wife and I went to Bistro Bermo to celebrate her birthday. Thank goodness I booked early and got a table. The food is delicious and obviously prepared with love and attention. The service was discreet and perfect. They refused to accept a tip so I have to write this review so others don't miss out on a wonderful dining experience in west Wales.

Superb on every front. Looked up where we could dine out and Bistro Bermo was top of the list. A very small restaurant with limited covers. Book in advance as it is fully booked. Good menu selection and food is well prepared and presented. Octopus was a special starter , excellent. Couldn't fault anything.

What a wonderful little place this is. We shared 2 starters; a wonderful pate, and octopus and chorizo. Both extremely good. For mains, I had the rack of lamb, and my friend had the Tuna steak. Both meals were beautifully presented and tasted superb. The service was friendly and efficient, and I can whole heartedly recommend this place.
