Bradshaw's Coffee
2 Church St, BarmouthI haven’t tasted all the coffee in Barmouth but I can’t imagine finding better coffee. If you see a table in this bijou barista delight grab it as it won’t be empty for long.

The Mermaid
Jubilee Rd, BarmouthChips were really ,really nice, however the sausages are the smallest I've ever seen, and poor value for money at nearly £2 for a tiny battered sausage. If I could,I'd leave 3.5 stars, 5 for the chips, 2 for the sausages.Decent chippy, but not a compulsory pit

Promenade Cafe& Wine Bar And Restaurant
BarmouthFood was well cooked and tasted good. Went for the fish and chips. The guy working behind the till was very friendly and personable, as a customer you are made to feel extremely welcome.Table service was great. It is nice to visit a family run business and to pump money into the local economy.Fantastic location.Great view of the beach/ sea/ sunset.Only complaint: The smoke alarm battery was running low and the alarm was beeping the whole time. This really ruins the atmosphere. I chose to eat inside because there were two dogs outside who were barking continuously, hence I was able to hear the smoke alarm. I want to make clear, the presence of barking dogs is not the fault of the restaurant - but rather the owners of dogs who tolerate such bad behaviour and ruin the atmosphere for everyone else. If you have a dog that barks, kindly go away and have your food delivered to where you are staying - or, learn how to moderate the behaviour of your dog.

Dolphin Fish Bar
King Edward St, BarmouthFriendly service. There was a group of us who sat in for food. All of our food was great and thoroughly enjoyed. The chips were so tasty and I liked that the food was not greasy.

Browns
Church St, BarmouthJust stopped by for a simple lunch - the baguettes are excellent value with a wide range of fillings - probably the best we've had. I don't understand the negative reviews as the staff were very helpful in our case.

Bistro Bermo
6 Church St, BarmouthOur first visit here.Earlier this evening Saturday 16 March 24, my husband and I, along with our great friends, had an excellent meal.We all chose chicken supreme with king prawns for main course. Accompanied by a good selection of fresh vegetables and delicious chips.Really, we were rather full, BUT, we wanted to try a dessert. All 4 of us chose different ones and every one was delightful and a very nice generous portion.Staff very nice and Jose came to ask if everything was okayWe said very enjoyable and we would dine there again.I did suggest that the plates could have been warmer. ?Thank you

Highly recommended, well worth our 5 hour round trip and we'll definitely be back. The food is all vegan but the 2 tables closest to us, the people were non-vegan and loving the food. 5*Vegetarian options: Food is all veganDietary restrictions: They will accommodate special dietary requirements

The Barmouth Bar @ Grill
Church St, BarmouthFood was lovely and girl behind bar was very attentive, thought it was a little expensive but we needed food and couldn't find anywhere else doing full meals at 3.30 in the afternoon so we're limited. When we went into the pub there was only bar staff and chef in there so we were the only customers, a couple more people came in and they were all young so us 60+ felt it was aimed at the younger generation so we finished our meal and left.

Goodies
33 High St, BarmouthVisited Barmouth on a cold January Monday . Goodies was a bit of a Hobson’s Choice. But what a find Friendly young staff working hard to be helpful. Tables were well cleaned after customers had left Had breakfast pancakes with eggs and lovely crispy bacon with maple syrup washed down with a couple of Lattes. All excellent One of us asked for no eggs but extra bacon and was happily accommodated Couldn’t fault it Customer toilet was under alteration but was clean - if cold . Highly recommended Thank you

Davy Jones Locker
The Quay, BarmouthWe were in Barmouth on a particularly blustery day, so eating outside was not an option - we managed to find a table inside and were very glad we did! The food was excellent, with freshly made, generously filled sandwiches and bagels, with nice fresh side salads. The coffee was also excellent. Our dog was made welcome too, which is nice. The lack of toilets on-site isn't an issue as the public toilets opposite are only a few metres away, clean and free to use. The staff were friendly and efficient. All in all an excellent experience!Wheelchair accessibility: The inside seating is not accessible due to the nature and location of the building - steps up to and inside the cafe, combined with confined quarters inside would not be suitable for people with need of walking aids other than sticks. Similarly, wheelchairs and prams would not be able to manage.
