Abysmal service waited over 20 mins for just a cone of chips, place was a mess, salt shaker was empty, cramped conditions felt like I was on a Japanese train. Food very average.

Ordered food for 14 people. Served quickly. No waste. Chicken kebab with salad was really nice. The seating area was spacious and clean, although we didn't eat in. Staff were friendly and polite.

Really good experience on a damp Sunday evening. Fish chips and the greenest mushy peas ever were well cooked to order. Nice guy serving brought over our food and apologised for one of the fish being smaller and gave us an extra fish FOC. Nice touch and really appreciated. ?????

Have been here a lot of times for fish and chips and never been disappointed, but today we went for breakfast - even though we were 20 minutes over the breakfast service they graciously served us to 3 huge full English- it was delicious. Recommend, served well in a clean environment- thank you

Nice cafe in the middle of Barmouth town.Friendly staffPlenty of seating for eating in...or if you choose you can take away...Usually come here for fish and chips when visiting...A wide menu to choose from.. and reasonably priced..Fish chips and peas around £10...Good portion size and the food is fresh and tasty...

Nice fish and chips but we were really let down by the young teenage girl who served us, who had failed to give a hello, please or thank you. Rest of the staff were lovely, but we were disappointed by lack of basic manners Food was lovely though. Been before and will go again.

Probably the worst fish and chips I've ever eaten. Admittedly it was late afternoon, about 5pm but the chips appeared to have been kept warm since lunchtime, and the fish was grey and muddy tasting.

Well, good food, good service helpful staff and very clean. As a child we visited Barmouth so many times and almost 40 years on I got the opportunity to take my family, so little has changed its As if time had stood still despite the obvious you would expect, "the cost of everything" £11.00 for a jacket spud £4.50 for an ice cream and £8.50 for a sandwich, it was crazy, One chip shop had que's all down the road, you would have thought it the best chippy in Barmouth, my youngest (6) wanted large battered sausage and chips, no we only do small sausage not battered (£1.80 really small portion of chips £3.00) so most of the time we cooked our own meals in our caravan but sometimes you're out and you have to grab something to keep the kids happy. The carousel cafe was by far the most reasonable place to go, good fast food plenty of seating, clean and by far the better portion sizes offered than anywhere else.Only negative I will add is that the breakfast prices are not reasonable but then nowhere in Barmouth is and I think they have just priced themselves in line with everyone else.Kid-friendliness: All the staff were happy to speak to and joke around with the kidsWheelchair accessibility: Ground floor and chairs are movable they would be happy to take your order from the table

Just popped in today for a quick lunch as we were walking around Barmouth. I had a kebab so definitely wasn't expecting anything spectacular but it was the best kebab I have ever had. The meat was seasoned so well that I was amazed. If you are ever in the area I would definitely recommend. The staff are lovely and helpful and the food is lush.Wheelchair accessibility: It was pretty easy to get in to the tables and staff were very willing to help.

We went into the carousel for a quick lunch whilst walking around Barmouth as a lot of other places were really expensive. We were not expecting much because let's face it we have all had basic fish and chips so many times before. How wrong I was , I had a basic doner kebab and was expecting bland meat with a bit of salad. What I got was beautifully seasoned slices of meat with a lot of fresh sliced salad. It was absolutely amazing , I will definitely be back and I would recommend it to anyone. The staff were lovely and friendly and we all had a fantastic lunch.
