We booked this hotel for a short break in Barmouth and weren’t disappointed. The hotel was beautiful, very very old and full of character, something you don’t get with new builds. I do recommend booking a turret room as it faces out to sea (see pictures taken from our room). With two windows facing across the bed, you get a sense of being outside even though you’re not.Breakfast was good and filling and is in the conservatory overlooking the bay. There is also a patio / well-kept garden with tables and umbrellas also with the amazing views.Parking is area is a bit small, but we had no problem in finding a space as it could probably take up to 10 cars without issue. And there is a 15-minute walk into the town, but this is on a gentle slope and quite enjoyable. The owner Trudy was very friendly and welcoming.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone and will be going back.

Overall my stay was lovely. The staff were very attentive and friendly, the setting was unbeatable, with full views of the bay from my bed. Also eating dinner and breakfast with full sea views was magical. The room itself was quite small, and the decor and furniture was a bit tired but it was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious, especially the vegan sausage! The dinner was interesting, very home cooking style. I had the vegan Shepherds pie. The filling was delicious but it was topped with 2 bubble and squeak cakes rather than mash, and then served with steamed veg (including boiled potatoes) then served with a side of chips. I would suggest swapping out the chips and topping the pie with mash potato like a traditional Shepherds pie. The chocolate fudge cake was yummy!! Thanks for providing a relaxing base for my work trip.

A lovely little hotel. Room was perfect for what I needed, the view spectacular. Staff helpful, kind and helpful. Dinner was lovely, scampi and chips for a very well priced fee. Sitting in the conservatory taking in the view made it even better.

This must be one of the most tranquil spots in the area with a superb view across cardigan bay towards the Snowdonian mountains.

Gorgeous views from this Hotel - nice conservatory type area for breakfast (more choice at breakfast would be my only criticism, maybe kippers or smoked salmon/eggs royale/benedict, and some pastries, as it is advertised as a Luxury hotel) - bedroom rather small but a comfy bed. Stairs and entrance hall very attractive - guest lounge beautiful, Staff attentive.

A gorgeous interior, lovely staff, nice breakfast, great sunset view! We had a small sea-view room which was clean, had a comfy bed, the shower had good pressure however it could be updated. Barmouth is a quaint town, well worth exploring.

A unique place to stay, in a beautiful location. It's a Victorian hotel with lots of original features, so don't expect 'state of the art' but it's well-maintained and the staff are friendly and efficient.
