Came acroos this lovely tea room, the staff were very pleasant and the owner I presume was very kind and chatty to us including our child, the price was very reasonable for what we had which was 2 cream teas, carrot cake and a squash. Highly recommended.

We were in Barmouth and decided to go to The Old Tea Rooms for some lunch. We were a party of 6 adults and 3 children. I should of known by the unwelcoming snare, that we weren't welcome! He insulted my 3 year old niece, and was rude to the adults. We hadn't even sat down, and after the comments that were made, we were certainly not sitting down. Do not recommend this cafe.

Walked into this cafe today and had a terrible welcome by the man working. (Probably say he was the owner). Absolute D…head of a man who made unnecessary comments to my children before we had even sat down. We then decided to up and leave due to the comments made by him had made my mind up on giving him my money. Not surprised the place was empty other people visiting must of seen the light too.

Do not eat or drink at the old tea rooms as a family we walked in and was given a filthy look with 3 children we was made to feel uncomfortable very quickly, the man that seen to us was as I can only describe as god dam rude! And pre warned my children to behave at all times in his cafe , a long with a few other nasty remarks he made towards us we decided to leave I would not recommend anyone to ever come here it’s a disgrace

Been to Barmouth many, many times but never entered in. The menu selection was different from most, with a good selection of home cooked food. The tea room is quiant, with different items to make it different. Staff very friendly. Prices very reasonable

Excellent Java!

Lovely quiet tea rooms where you can enjoy tea, from a selection, and different cakes. The tea is served in beautiful china teapots and cups+saucers. And the cakes are excellent - I really enjoyed the 'Bara brith'. A lovely environment - nicely decorated. It's a little bit further down the main street in Barmouth - but it's worth walking the extra few yards. Definitely recommended.Kid-friendliness: Probably not suitable for children.Parking: There are plenty of large pay+display car-parks in Barmouth just a short walk away, but don't expect to park outside.

A really nice place with an excellent selection of specialist teas and coffees. I had the scones with cream and jam, it was really great. The waiter was really nice and quite funny, although I could see why some people might confuse his humour as surley.

Very friendly staff, good food, reasonable price! Tea served in China cups, we had quiche and salad and a jacket potato with chilli, both very tasty.

Really friendly lovely cafe. Great pot of assam tea for one - did 2 of us. I'm very particular about my tea and this hit the spot and more. As I also prefer it out of china. Lovely cup and saucer. Super cakes, sandwiches and generous portions. Ever so friendly cuddly staff - we arrived at 5 past 3 after an epic 10 mile walk and they kindly accommodated us. Could not recommend more highly. Go there.
