First time to visit the Blue Anchor and found it very cramped upstairs. The staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the old building and will probably visit again but at a not such a busy time.

One of my favourite places to eat. Dating back to the 1300s, the blue anchor is full of history. It is deceptively large inside with multiple different rooms and an outdoor seating area - perfect for the summer pint. The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere of being in an olde-world genuinely traditional pub was fabulous. Thank you for being so welcoming and attentive.

Kid-friendliness: Great parking - just across the road. 6 week old baby in his pram came too. Very polite, positive staff.Love the ambiance, love the food , great sized portions too! .Would thoroughly recommend this for lunch or Meeting up with friends , evenings and the like.

Nice pub, very quiet .Was hoping for some food but missed out because they only do food 12-2pm then 6-9pm.No wonder the place is quiet!

Unique thatched 13th century inn, super cozy and welcoming. Food can be eaten in the bar or restaurant. Our party had a table in the restaurant upstairs, good quality pub food. Great service and well priced, especially the wine.Would re-visit for Sunday lunch and in the summer time when you can sit outside.

Always have a great homemade pub meal here. One of the very few Chefs who can cook liver well.

Had a lovely meal for Mothers Day. Service was friendly and quick. I guess not surprisingly as they tried to accommodate everyone but was a little busy/noisy.

The best pub in Wales authentic top quality food. I love the fact that there is no background music being played.

A really pleasant pub where you can relax and enjoy good food.

Not dining today, but past experience is that the food is excellent. Drinking Heineken 0.0 which is in bottles at a reasonable £3.00 per bottle. Be nice if they had it on draught, but don't know what the turnover is like.Parking: Large free car park opposite pub

Fantastic old school pub! Atmosphere would be 10 stars if that was an option!
