Highly recommended to us by staff at the Gilestone Manor. It did not disappoint.The staff at the Anchor managed to accommodate us and our little dog at relatively late notice. My favourite pub in all the world.Crazy building, with all those little bars. Excellent choice of beautifully kept beers and ciders, and top quality food.We'll be travelling from Norway this summer just for a few at The Blue Anchor. It's worth it!

We ordered the panini sandwiches and I had the coronation chicken. The bread was prefect and crispy and the salad and coleslaw it came with was very tasty. The chicken was lush. Both paninis we ordered came with home cooked fries which were soooo good. The location of the Nlue Anchor is perfect and we had lunch and then walked to the beach after. Thank you Blue Anchor for a lovely lunch in a gorgeous location.
