A great spot on a sunny day. A bit of an institute in South Wales.
Visited on New Year's Day. Rammed. In fact, the whole of Barry Island including the surrounding sea was. Needed coffee but had to queue, the lady who served us was brilliant, engaging, funny, bright. Made us feel very welcome. Coffee was fine. Cakes looked amazing but no gluten free choices available. Who are Gavin and Stacey?

Forgot I’d not put this review on from late 2022, very nostalgic place for any gavin and stacey fans and me and the missus are so it was great for us to get the chance to visit one morning, we just had the simple breakfast deal of a bacon baguette and a tea and a bacon baguette and a coffee which was lovely and for I think less than a fiver each so I thought it was great value for money, got to also say how clean the place was and all around the seating area, the staff were really nice and friendly, only downside was I wish it was stacey serving me lol, definitely worth the visit if you get the chance.

My husband bought 2 ice-creams for our sons. We went back to the car and they ate them on the way home. After a few minutes I tasted a bit of my sons ice-cream as he said it tasted sour. It was completely gone off. I immediately took them off the kids and threw them away. My youngest son (age3) then had diarrhoea and is still unwell with stomach cramps now (24hours later). They had the soft ice-cream from the machine. It needs to be emptied and cleaned out. It can be very dangerous!
