Had food here on Xmas eve afternoon and was happy with the food, drinks and service. The carvery was as expected 2 meats and plenty of vegetables. The restaurant itself was clean and tidy and had a welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely return again and would recommend.

Tried to attend breakfast after checking the website which suggested that you could order before 11am. We got there at 10:45 with another patron, and the manager stated they had stopped breakfast.I questioned this after seeing how much food was left over and he stated they close early sometimes due to trade etc. (his words). The amount of food that was available and he didn’t suggest that we could have what was left. If have been happy to pay but he was resisting the apparent trade that they were lacking. They close for 1 hour at 11 to ensure they have time to prepare for carvery which is fair enough, but we got there early and we’re still shown the door.Absolute joke.

I like this venue and food was lovely waitress was VERY friendly and came across as very helpful .I was a lottke taken aback by what appeared to be the manager ..I couldn't help over hear how he talked to the waitresses ..didn't come across as that friendly ..1 particular remark was......."come on , 2nd gear its busy " .....when it had looked like she moved for him to pass ..came across a little of a power trip . He may be good but look after your staff. Theyre you're main supports ..

A terrible experience. I booked table in advance once for 19.20, we arrived slightly earlier sat down for the meal. I asked for in advance place settings for the 3 people having meals. On arrival thete was no booking. Then escorted to the table.Food was ok I couldn't have crackling, I was told only on Sundays. We had to wait for drinks to arriveThe place setting request ignored.I was given the bill whilst we were finishing off our meals, and then ushered off the table to go in bar area. Only to find the bar closed at 21.00 on a Friday night.I spoke to the manager. Who seemed to be providing excuses and not accept the blame. He gave excuses that the company don't stay open due to rising costs and decisions are made to close early as it wouldn't be cost effective to remain open.I asked why don't they say this at the time of booking the table.A recent evening out at Walston Castle, a complete opposite experience. We wernt rushed, they were open late and didn't need to raise a concern. Toby could learn something from Beefeater. I spent a lot of money last night, thete was no offer of apology just excuses. And no offer of a refund or gesture of a free meal. Spending the money I spent last night, was it worth it. Most definitely not.The two guests with me were also disappointed.A very disappointing experience, I won't be going back there for sure.

Service was great to start off with but it looked like the one waitress was doing quite a lot by herself. Resulting in an error when putting food through the system as it was meant to be on the festive menu and a long waiting in ordering dessert. To save her having to come back to us with the bill we paid at the bar as we could see she was super busy. In all fairness to her she kept smiling.food was amazing as usual.

My father, cousins, and best friend went here for our annual Christmas drinks. We haven't had a meet-up since the beginning of lockdown, so we were all really looking forward to it. Arrived at 5pm, bit earlier than we normally do. The atmosphere was excellent. We were all having a good laugh, and the drinks were flowing. But we were very shocked when one of the members of staff called last orders at 8.30pm. Now, as far as I can remember, this pub has always been open till about 11pm. Can someone please let me know why this happened, please?

The whole experience was great. My Grandson and I met for a Turkey and Tinsel lunch. As we will not see each other on Xmas Day, we had our turkey dinner together at Toby Carvery Choose. A particular favourite of my Grandson. We really enjoyed it. Especially the food. No complaints. This is the second year running that we have been to Toby Carvery Choose for our Xmas lunch. Very special time for us.The staff were really attentive and polite.Just great!!!

There was a slight mix-up with the mains, but other than that we had wonderful service! We weren't rushed, and it was a lovely atmosphere! Thank you! I come regularly to the restaurant and it was great to celebrate Chistmas with my whole family!Vegetarian options: Average

We went for lunch in the week, I hadn't booked a table beforehand, but when we asked if there was any available, we were seated immediately, in the bar area. We had arrived just as the carvery was opening, There were quite a few queuing up ready, but we didn't have to wait long. The food was delicious and piping hot. one of the best carveries we've had in a while, we will be back.

While the food was amazing the price was severely lacking. Monday Night. £17 odd for a standard size carvery, pigs in blankets and a refill pepsi for 1 person. ? Also just found out today 20th November 2023 50% off. Why didn't the staff honour this.

A bit busy at times, the waitress took quite long to take our order so I went and spoke to the man at the bar who told me he would send the waitress over who then still took 20 minutes the food was lovely as always, the chef was very kind and
