Tried this chip shop tonight for the first time and we were not disappointed! After 16 months of living in South Wales we have FINALLY found a great chippy!They are cash only, so we had to dash to a convenience store to use a cashpoint.Really good service from a very friendly chatty man who I believe was the owner. Walking down Barry was miserable to say the least. Until... I came across "Harvey's Fish & Chippy". A hidden gem that offers some of the best fish and chips I've ever tasted. The crispy batter on the fish is perfectly golden brown and has just the right amount of crunch, giving way to a flaky and tender interior that is bursting with flavour. Popped in here at midday as I had a craving for fish and chips and the reviews looked favourable.I had the “senior lunch special “ cod and chips which was amazing value and great quality for the price. There was a short wait for the food as it was cooked fresh, but it was worth the short wait. The batter on the fish was extremely light and tasty, I will definitely return on my next visit to Barry.Parking: Parking available outside the front door
