What an unexpected little gem of a place.Let's be blunt... it looks like a run down shack because it is a bit of a rundown shack. But it's staffed by lovely people, and the cakes... oh my... the home made cakes are delish. We've been back several times for coffee and cake, buying extra slices to bring home for visitors. The biggest downside... there is no inside seating at all, only a couple of tables under the awning with the rest around the side and rear. So hope for some warm weather, or wrap up nice and cosy as it gets quite windy in Beaumaris.Parking: There is a car park behind the castle and another large parking area near the sea front. It is paid parking, although at certain times of the year when events are on, it can be free. The car park behind the castle has free parking for disabled, the one on the sea front does not.

Always try and go here when we are on holiday in the area because the staff are so lovely and the cakes are amazing. This time we had take away as we had our little dog with us and no dogs allowed in the park. Once again good lattes and delicious homemade cakes. I managed to get the last slice of ginger sponge cake...it was the best I've ever had. And thanks to the kindness of the owner I managed to buy the last of her full size beautiful homemade bara brith cake to take home. Highly recommended this cafe.

This wonderful little place holds a happy place in my heart, not only is it THE best place for home made cakes and delectable treats, the fresh baps are brimming with gorgeous fillings, the coffee is the best, you get a good mug of proper tea, a proper Welsh ‘ panad ‘ all this is enjoyed with the beautiful view of the Welsh mountains, the sea, and Beaumaris castle. The service is impeccable, and the staff are all so happy and jolly, and the fun banter always makes people feel right at home. Kim has the biggest friendliest heart you could imagine, and this place is her heart & soul, thank you for a lovely little break for my family before we enjoyed a fun competitive game of putting ?

This is one of my favourite places in Beaumaris. The staff are fantastic, the cakes are out of this world and everything is reasonably priced. Great views of the Castle as well. I think certain businesses should have a protection orders put on them like listed buildings and this cafe would be high on my list.Kid-friendliness: It’s in a park so no traffic problems. There is a playground you can see easily if sitting outdoors.Wheelchair accessibility: There is easy access for wheelchairs by using the path that runs around the back of the cafe.

Went here for an afternoon tea staff were friendly, lovely little seating area outside, and an amazing choice of sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls and pork pie and an amazing selection of cakes, scone, jam and clotted cream, brownies, bara brith etc absolutely worth a visit, nothing was too much trouble and already looking forward to my next visit. There is also mini golf, Bowles, a kids park and the castle for a day out

Without doubt the best place for a coffee and cake in Beaumaris. Extremely friendly staff. Great cake, awesome coffee (much better than any of the coffee shops in the town).

A bit of a hidden gem. An excellent selection of fresh cakes and snacks, hot and cold drinks (plus alternative milks). You can sit outside and watch the children on the playground whilst enjoying a drink and a bite.

Happy Valley is our favourite place to visit in Beaumaris. The staff are friendly, the cakes are fabulous and they make a great cappuccino too! The location, next to the castle, with views across the Menai Straits is the icing on the cake, if you'll excuse the pun!

Fantastic place to sit and eat cake, stunning views over Snowdonia, great selection of cakes and scones if you are lucky to get one. Brilliant staff, right next to Beaumaris Castle. What's not to like.
