Kids meals expensive order off main menu also you get bigger servings when you do. On a kids menu it costs £1.50 for a fruit shoot!!!! Saving only 10p as they are £1.60 to buy in Neptune’s daylight robbery!!

Chipper which is dog friendly and the chips are nice. However the seafood was shocking and almost inedible. We had mixed seafood a fish and whiting. All were terrible.Lady serving was lovely!!!

Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options available :-) I had GF fishcake & chips and they were lovely.

Been coming to this chip shop for years. Yesterday we were given a thin sliver of fish not six inches long and a matter of mm thick, a portion of chips with mushy peas and a curry sauce for 24 quid for 2 of us. Half the size from a previous visit. There is a new chip shop down the road we walked past afterwards and is 18 quid for the same meal. Not getting ripped off again and not going back.

Take out fish and chips, nice and crispy, fish was perfect, chips great, I have a fussy 11 yo, who ate loads and was happy. Just give it a try and judge for yourself.

Fish and chips plus a fish cake. Lovely food, decent price and the staff really nice too. Ate in because was getting a bit too windy outside.

After being extremely let down by a nearby fish and chip place for advertising gluten free options only to be told they had none, Neptunes was extremely helpful. They explained what I could have and told us that anything that needed to be gluten free was cooked in a separate fryer. A good choice for gluten free, tasty, good portions, clean and very helpful, pleasant staff. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone but especially to any coeliac sufferers.

£4.50 for a portion of chips. Massively disappointed. Chips were brown and tasted of oil. Like the oil had been used and used.

Really surprised at some of the other reviews. Have been a few times when we’ve been over, most recently this last weekend. The fish and chips have hands down been some of the best we’ve ever had (and we’ve had a lot around the UK). The fish in particular was freshly cooked to order and melted in my mouth!

We ate in as a family of 5 and all was fine. We all agreed the child were fresh and the kids enjoyed the sausages. Burger adequate. The tables were comfy and clean.

Freshly cooked fish and chips. Hot. Nice curry sauce too. Ate in from take away cartons(eco friendly ones). Quite full but not noisy. Staff friendly and cleaned tables as people finished.

Awful. Very poor quality food. We’re a family of 6 and we were all so disappointed. The chips were overcooked and incredibly hard. Everything else was hard and all tasted of stale cooking oil. The curry sauce was watery and appeared to full of bits of meat, possibly chicken but who knows? No good for the vegetarian who ordered it.The whole lot was binned and we ended up making tea and toast when we got home. It was very expensive but if the food is good and tasty, you don’t mind. Sadly in this case, we were well and truly ripped off.I must make a point of saying how friendly the server was. The lad with long brown hair, he was so lovely. It’s such a shame he was the only positive part of an expensive lesson. Go to the other chippy (Dockshack - excellent quality!).

These were the worst chips from the ground floor takeaway that I have tasted in 76 years…..and I have tasted PLENTY. The fat was decidedly rancid, the chips hard and grey in colour. One star is in recognition of the fact that they were hot. Apart from that there was a superficial top layer of yellowish grey specimens carefully disguising”what lies beneath”, ie: crumbs and slivers of batter/potato and the fag ends of whatever. We complained to the waiter, a young man, who proceeded to silently slither out the back. The cook (presumably), a young woman, waffled on about the problem with “new” potatoes. Presumably she imagined I was either of a very low IQ and/or lamentably gullible, neither of which are true. Sadly, I suspect she is not teachable and what she produced was a disgrace - and daylight robbery. Never again - appalling, scarcely edible “food”.

Just eaten delicious freshly cooked fish and chips on a bench overlooking the sea. These were the best fish and chips we’ve had for a long time. We’ll be back.
