First time to this restaurant for my partners birthday as it was somewhere he had wanted to try. The burgers were amazing (so much sauce too, I think i was the only one there at the time picking it up to eat, everyone else knives and forks) staff were lovely and friendly but our drinks order was forgotten and we had to ask again but overall very happy with the atmosphere and place in general and will be back to sample other burgers on their menu.

This was by far the longest I had travelled to try a burger and Hills did not disappoint. With my friends from Bristol we tried some different burgers. I tried the classis bacon and cheese with a chicken breast added. It tested amazing ?.Lots of choice on the menu and the drinks menu would suit all.Toilets were clean and tidy and there was a brilliant corridor of posters to view. The only fault was staff were slightly slow. In the end we opted to pay at the bar as we were waiting a long time for the card machine after getting our bill.We will be back ? ?

Came here with friends one evening back in March 2023. It's relatively easy to find and there's plenty of parking outside. We'd prebooked and although it was my first time here, one of our party had been before. The decor is really nice and, having been again since, you get a great view of the Bannau Brycheiniog during the day, but can't see them at night obviously! From speaking to the staff, they change their specials every month and I tried one of the specials (can't remember what but it won't matter as it was back in March now so won't be on the menu anymore!). The service was really good and one of our sides was a bit cold when it came out but they brought us another one when we said. My burger was really tasty - a good combo of flavours that worked well. The sides were also good. The pudding (choc brownie) was also tasty. I'd recommend if you're after somewhere for a special occasion.

My-OH!-MY!! WHAT-A-BURGERS ?? Mouthwatering meat of top quality from local suppliers, great filled with proper amount of (sometimes surprising!) toppings.Decent chips and salad ordered as a additional sites might be a crime especially for £18.50 for a burger but let's forgive that. The BEST house made lemonade ? ever had! ? Paid that off!...and don't forget about splendid views from terrace over whole Brecon peaks! ??Very friendly (despite age) service and nice ambience. But music (even if it is in my taste) - modern rock wasn't the best choice for such a place in my opinion.Summarizing definitely BURGERS TO DIE FOR and probably The Best Ones in whole Wales! ??

Warning this establishment has a food hygiene rating of zero. No reputable restaurant should be a risk to health.

The best burger I’ve ever eaten. Pros - the most amazing burgers, staff friendly and the place is nice and clean. Staff are knowledgeable about menu, asked about dietary requirements and gave options for the vegan burger that I ordered. Cons - the price ?, you’re looking at £30 per person minimum for burger, chips or a side and a drink. The music was very loud and I could barely hear the waitress talking to us. We were waiting a long time for the bill, we ended up paying at the bar before leaving even though we were planning on having another drink, we couldn’t get the waiting staffs attention.

Absolutely blown away by how good everything was. The food was delicious, with great variation in the choice of burgers. Expansive drinks menu, with something for everyone. The milkshake and cherry lemonade were lovely. Dog friendly venue. Accessible for wheelchair users. The staff were amazing! Polite, helpful, and genuinely lovely. I would absolutely recommend a visit to anyone who likes a good burger. Had a great time and will absolutely go again. The views from the front of the restaurant were breathtaking too.Kid-friendliness: Definitely child friendly. A couple of young kids were there when I was and they were well looked after.Parking: Good parking right out the front of the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp access to the restaurant. I didn't visit the bathroom while there, but assume there is an accessible toilet.

The views are beautiful. The food was nice but it is expensive and the dining chairs are very uncomfortable.

My partner and I visited The Hills for a much recommended burger experience. When we arrived it was very busy, a good sign for any restaurant. They didn't have a table available but was offered a takeaway which we went ahead with. Really friendly staff, especially the bar man, lovely lad, chatted with us whilst we waited at the bar and the Mrs enjoyed a gin. Didn't take long for our takeaway which was a surprise considering how busy it was. The burgers were pretty damn good and the rosemary salt fries were yummy. I'm a chef by trade and its so damn hard to find good food. The only reason I haven't given five out of five was the gravy on my girlfriends gravy and fries burger. Delicious deep flavour but over reduced, we couldn't drink enough water afterwards to get the bitter salty flavour out of our mouths. Meant as a constructive criticism, that gravy was flavoured so well, just cut back on the reducing. They're bound to set up more restaurants, they should, great place, we'll definitely go back

I don’t write a huge amount of reviews, but felt compelled to do so for Hills to provide balance to some of the not so positive reviews about service. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with regards to service, I actually messed up our booking and what could have been an easy “not our problem” response from Hills, they smoothed everything out and ensured we got the meal and experience we had driven so far for. You can tell from the other reviews the food is proper tasty, so not much need to say much more on that.

A wonderfully bustling & atmospheric restaurant, tucked up on the edge of town, overlooking the Beacons. On entry, you are greeted by cheerful, helpful staff, happily absorbed diners & the delicious smells of the food on offer. A genuine treat for the senses. Some of the food seemed a bit pricey, but it's so delicious, you definitely get what you pay for.Not for the faint hearted & a test of appetite, the burgers we ordered were a feast for the eyes & a joy for the stomach. The Hills offers both indoor dining & and takeaway. So, if you can't get a table reservation, you won't have to miss out.My only negative - the music was very loud, suitable for some, but not for all.So, if you're looking for the best burgers in town, don't delay, get yourself to The Hills.

Had an absolutely fantastic evening here for my husband's birthday. The service and atmosphere are friendly and welcoming, which was great. Food was absolutely delicious - certainly some of the best burgers we've ever had. Catered very well for my husband's gluten allergy. My son loved his cheeseburger pizza (can't wait to go back!), daughter loved the chicken and waffles, my tofu burger was delicious and the Juan Hilario was amazing too. Highly recommend, especially for a special occasion. Sides were also lovely - rosemary fries were lush, corndogs and brisket fries also amazing. Thank you for a lovely evening!

We had an excellent visit! Very friendly welcome, service was great and quick. The burgers were delicious, the loaded brisket fries and sweet potatoes were great too. All arrived fresh and hot! Try the passion fruit lemonade, was so refreshing. Thanks, definitely on the list for our next visit to Wales!
