What an amazing experience! Wonderful staff, friendly locals, excellent food and delicious gin. This is a gem of a place and worth visiting. Can I give it 6 stars!?

We booked into the Hop in to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We had a fantastic evening - it may be small but it's packed with character! The staff are friendly and helpful, it has a great atmosphere, fantastic food and a wonderful selection of Gin's.

Sunday lunch with the family today, one of the best roast beef I have had in ages with loads of veg and an excellent cauliflower cheese. Ale was excellent as well. Pub downstairs is compact but we had plenty of room for 9 upstairs. Would recommend for your Sunday roast.

Amazing food, the beef strips were so good. and the portions were generous. Our dog was welcomed and made such a fuss of by staff and all the other customers. Was spoit for choice by the number of gins on offer and hubby enjoyed the beer he chose.

Lots more seating upstairs, great value and fine scrumptious food. Nice wine lovely evening. Tip for owner- put a sign up to say more seating upstairs, we sat down stairs in the end, the lighting was a bit harsh upstairs and no music up there either. However, would sit anywhere for that lovely food.

Excellent variety in tapas! Portion sizes were huge for tapas… excellent value for money. Great tasting grub, I would recommend the white bait!! This meal made me so happy (see photo)

Friendly staff who go above and beyond. Small and cosy inside. Great drinks menu for Gins and good beer options. Dog friendly, even if your dog is not the smallest! We shared veggie Tapas and it was absolutely lovely. Well worth a visit.Vegetarian options: Full veggie options on the tapas menu.

Nice little micro craft beer and gin bar with a great selection on draught. We didn't stay for food so can't comment on that, but would certainly return to try! We didn't feel the staff were particularly inviting, when asking for recommendations we were just directed towards the tap list, no interest in highlighting anything specific - It's nice to be sold a beer! Otherwise a nice vibe throughout.

Lovely bustling place, looks tiny from the front but TARDIS like there are loads of tables upstairs, brilliant service chef came to see me about my allergies, food really really good, a must if you are in the areaDietary restrictions: Chef came to see me to talk it through (nuts and fish). Can't get better!

Wow what an amazing place. The food was to die for. Friendly staff and easy going atmosphere. We visited as a party of 6 with three dogs and were very much welcome.

Adorable little spot that served us deliciousness after everything else in town had stopped service for midday break. We should have started here! Thanks to our kind bartender / chef / waitperson. We loved it!

Really good, friendly bar with excellent Tapas type food. Superb beer and gin options. We visited twice and consistent high quality. Gin cocktails using local gins were exceptional and good value
