We stayed 3 enjoyable nights at the Lodge. We received a warm welcome from the hosts. Our room was clean and tidy with a lovely carpet. The en-suite was good but got a little cold at night. The breakfast was fantastic including a home-made vegan saousage. We also received great advice about walks and attractions nearby. It was a great place for star-gazing but the clouds only parted once for half an hour while we were there!

We had a fabulous time at The Lodge. It was perfectly located to visit Brecon and enjoy the tranquility and view of the stunning mountains. Bronwyn and Steve were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We did the four waterfalls walk and were able to make use of the drying room which was very much needed! Breakfast was perfect and the rooms were clean, comfortable with everything you could need. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

THE ROOMS WERE EXTREMELY CLEAN, TIDY AND VERY WELL FURNISHED. THE ENSUITE SHOWER WAS SUPERB AND IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN CLEANER. THE BEDS, AND PILLOWS GAVE US A VERY PLEASANT SLEEP.WE DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE OUR BED BUT BREAKFAST BECKONED, AND THIS WAS EXCELLENT. PLENTY OF FRUIT TO CHOOSE FROM AND A GOOD ENGLISH/WELSH FULL BREAKFAST.THERE IS A VERY COMFORTABLE LOUNGE FOR GUESTS, AND WE WERE ENCOURAGED TO USE THIS FACILITY IF WE CHOSE TO EAT FROM A LOCAL TAKEAWAY, WHICH WE DID.THE HOUSE IS SET IN A BEAUTIFUL SPOT WITH GORGEOUS VIEWS OVER THE BRECON S.LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, THE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR STAY WERE THE HOSTS. STEVE AND BRONWYN , WHO ARE GENUINELY WARM AND OBLIGING.I CAN THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND THIS B & B.THIS IS OUR SECOND VISIT AND WE DEFINITELY INTEND TO COME BACK IN THE SUMMER, WHEN WE CAN ENJOY THE FABULOUS COUNTRYSIDE WALKS.Rooms: EXTREMELY CLEAN, TIDY AND WELL FURNISHED, WITH VERY GOOD SHOWER IN ENSUITE. VERY COMFORTABLE BEDS AND BEDDINGWalkability: A GOOD CHOOSE OF LOCAL WALKS, AROUND THE COUNTRYSIDE, HILLS, AND ALONG CANAL TO BRECON.Food & drinks: PLENTY OF FRUIT FOR BREAKFAST AND GOOD ENGLISH/WELSH FULL BREAKFAST

Another visit to the Lodge; the warmth and attentiveness of the hosts Steve and Bronwyn make for a relaxing stay in ideal surroundings. Bright rooms with comfortable beds and all the facilities that one needs to make a few days away a memorable experience. A cooked breakfast with produce sourced locally sets one up for the day. Lots to see and do in the area, all in all a lovely location in a beautiful setting. Can't recommend this B&B highly enough.

Wonderful warm welcome from Bronwyn and Steve. We booked last minute and they were very accommodating. The Lodge is in a superb location nestled at the bottom of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) with access to walks such as up towards Fan y Big and Pen y Fan or onto the Monmouth and Brecon canal. The town of Brecon is approximately 6 minutes drive away with enough eateries to choose from should you need/want to. You could also walk via the canal if you've time.Bronwyn and Steve are both extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Breakfast was great, well portioned and the homemade vegetarian sausage was tasty. They were able to cater for my partner being Coeliac at breakfast and even provided gluten free cookies in our room which was a nice treat. The breakfast room and lounge has the most lovely view - I can imagine on a snowy winter's day to be a really nice spot to cosy up by their burner. The room itself was a good size (no.4) plenty of space for our stay to store items with a lovely view west south west towards the mountains. The very well sized bathroom overlooks the garden facing north, the shower was hot and a really good size too. The bed was comfortable and the room warm. Having a mini fridge was useful and having fresh milk was a nice touch. A drying room for our damp shoes as well as a hose to wash things down was another great addition after a muddy hike. We would definitely recommend staying here, it's a beautiful place with fantastic hosts.

Superb! Highly recommend it!Comfortable room and lounge with a stunning view, delicious breakfast and plenty to see and do.Steve and Bronwyn will kindly offer all the information you need to make the most of your visit. We only spent two days there, on our very first trip to Wales. We clearly underestimated what the place has to offer.Nearby activities: Don't miss the Four Waterfalls; it's a 3-3.5 hour moderately difficult walk, totally worth it.

Our stay at The Lodge was delightful thanks to Bronwyn and Steve who were very helpful and welcoming: good local knowledge to recommend walks and restaurant; a very useful drying room; a quiet location and immaculate property; a very nice lounge; very generous breakfasts. All in all a most enjoyable stay. Our only regret is that the local pub at a walkable distance should have closed down and not found any buyer!

Staying at the Lodge for the weekend couldn’t have been more perfect! the Lodge was beautiful, very clean and fresh with all the amenities provided to make our stay even better including a small fridge in the room, with fresh milk! The views from the lodge and the surrounding areas was stunning too. Our hosts, Bronwyn and Steve were lovely, friendly and helpful and Bronwyns cooked breakfast was to die for and Steve looked after us well ‘front of house’! I thoroughly recommend the Lodge and hope to stay there again

We stayed at The Lodge at the weekend so we could make a weekend of it and attend our friends wedding and what a stay it was!! The Lodge is beautiful, inside and out with the most amazing views. The Lodge is so clean and fresh and our room was spacious, comfortable with double aspect windows and a view of the pond. The amenities were great, including tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge that was in the room. Bronwen and Steve were so lovely and helpful and really were the hosts with the most! Breakfast was to die for too! We went into the Village on the Friday and had dinner in the Royal Oak, which we highly recommend. Overall we had a lovely weekend and would definitely recommend the Lodge and would love to go back.
