Tai'r Bull is an Inn that serves excellent quality pub food, for us it is well located to meet up with family. It is good to see it up and running again after disruption with Covid etc. We visited today 21st March, definitely the best pub in the Brecon area. Also a bit of a rarity in that it opens for lunch. Fabulous Sunday lunch for our family, which includes 3 vegans, 1 nut allergy, 2 veggies, 2 omnis and a dog! No fuss or drama, excellent food, good beer, lovely relaxed atmosphere and fast friendly service. Perfect location for walking in the Brecon Beacons. Came here today for my second Xmas meal, OMG!!! Amazing doesn’t even come close, the whole place was beautifully decorated like Santa’s Grotto, the food was 100% slot on, so delicious, massive portions, we had 5 courses, such value for money, we even had a box provided to take home what we couldn’t manage. Totally Autism friendly, we have a son with Autism who struggles with food, they catered for all of his needs, even checked with each course how he wanted it presented, (chopped or whole/ hot or cold etc) why does nobody else do this? Great disabled toilet with baby changing facilities too. Fantastic family run business. Big mumma would be so proud ❤️❤️❤️

Highly recommend. Lovely, friendly atmosphere. Service was great, staff couldn’t do enough. Dog friendly - they brought our dog water and offered him some sausages with the meal! Food was great, plenty of choice. Generous portions. One party member had gf requirements and these were seen to and dealt with very well. Plenty of choice!! Staff very knowledgable on cross-contamination. Highly recommend, would visit again.

Visited last week. Had booked a table in the restaurant. Our table was by the window , with a beautiful view of Pen y Fan. A very warm welcome when we arrived. A great choice on the menu , I chose the Pie of the day which was steak & Ale washed down with a delicious pint of Butty Bach & my Mother ordered the Cod. Food arrived promptly and there was plenty of it! The pie was one of the nicest I have ever tasted and was full of meat. The beer battered cod was cooked too perfection. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough, food was great, staff attentive & friendly & we shall look forward to our next visit.
Visited the restaurant with a small party of friends. We chose the Christmas menu. Great choices and great price. The food was excellent and lots of it. The hosts and service were wonderful. Friendly from the time you stepped through the door. Checked with us throughout the meal and although the place was busy we were attended to throughout. A lovely festive and homely atmosphere. Heard lots of lovely comments from other tables too. Many thanks to Kate and her family and all on the team. A great start to the festive season and we will be back. This is a dog-friendly pub too. A major bonus. Thank you all.

Fantastic atmosphere and food! Enjoyed a lunch after a walk and it was fantastic - great food choice including vegan, all delicious and brilliant value. So welcoming landlady was so friendly even gave the dogs treats. We will be back!

What a great find this pub was for us!!! Emailed Katie at short notice for a table of 13 and she was so accommodating with plenty of emails going back and forth...had a very wet and windy walk and popped in for a quick pint or 2 before getting changed and came back for our evening meal. Food was superb!! and big potions!!! we all left there that evening full and satisfied. The girls that waited on us, Kayleigh, Jasmine and Willow, we all so helpful, polite and nothing was too much for them - a credit to their parents for sure. Food and drinks all came very quickly and always with a smile. Such a warm welcome and the Christmas decs up made our day too.... One of the nicest country pubs we have been to. Will definitely go back next time we are in Wales and i would strongly recommend this pub to everyone. Dave and the Crew from Stebbing, Essex

Christmas menu guinea pigs, staff, food, service all excellent, will call in again if in the area, thank you, we had this meal booked for sons 40th, 14 of us, the staff and owner were excellent, none of this plastic processed food, all fresh meat, veg and proper yorkies, would recommend to anybody

Fantastic family run pub! Don’t drive past this place without popping in, the place was fully booked and they guys squeezed us in. Christmas decorations are incredible, staff are brilliant, food is very well priced and lovely! Highly recommend!
