We went for a Christmas meal. Nice room but distinctly mediocre food.

I don’t think I can put into words just how amazing our recent stay at Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel was. Our daughter got married here on 22nd December 2023 and the day was perfect. From our arrival on 21st December to our departure on 23rd I cannot fault anything. From the wedding planners going through everything and really listening to what the wedding vision was and ensuring this was fulfilled. Every single member of staff was very friendly, polite and always available responding efficiently to any request made. The rooms were all beautiful and very comfortable with stunning views from our Executive Room. The food at every meal was delicious and served hot particularly noticeable on the wedding day when 80 plus meals were prepared and served seamlessly. Our top table was very well looked after as were the rest of the room. The hotel has many areas to utilise between ceremony and evening do thus allowing people to mingle this also was great in the evening too. A big thank you to the staff we didn’t get to see moving tables, chairs etc to set up the rooms for the next part of the day. During the evening the staff clearing the tables after the food were amazing, reading the room and spotting when plates could be moved without people really noticing. The location is gorgeous with lots of photo opportunities both inside and out. Nothing was too much trouble and I cannot praise the whole team enough for being part of our Daughter and Son-in-Laws special day and helping make a fabulous start to Christmas for us. Seeing all the events you do will definitely be back to join in the fun and be made to feel special again. You should all be very proud of the service you provide. Thank you.Rooms: Executive Room - beautifully stylish, very comfortable bed, clean and tidy with fabulous views

Recently attended a friend's daughters wedding in the folly with the reception in the Hendre suite.I cannot praise the hotel enough. The food was exceptional. The service was top of the range. Nothing was too much trouble.I wanted to give this review as I have just returned from having morning coffee today & I cannot express how excellently we were greeted & served by Jackie Williams, it was only morning coffee today but we were treated like Royalty.Thank you we will be seeing you all again very soon as we have a few functions booked in December.

I held our work Christmas party here and we couldn't fault it. Lovely food, very professional service/ staff ( even though most were very young, all polite and perfectly trained) . Casino croupier was very entertaining and lovely. Excellent night . Will be back next year .

Stayed here for a couple of nights as a guest at a wedding. Very nice hotel, clean, spacious rooms. Loved the food, room service was very quick. One of the best welsh breakfasts I've had!

I attended this hotel for a friend's wedding. The venue was fabulous, the surrounding grounds are beautiful. The rooms in the coach house were huge and really comfy. The staff at the venue were fantastic and the wedding was a great night for all that attended.

I went to a wedding reception, waiting staff were clearing tables while guests were still eating at the tables(main course),I thought was very rude thing to do also they removed dessert forks before the dessert arrived when I asked why I was told because we were told to remove them ! Not many canapés not ever guest had one! (80 guests) only 50 had any canapés. I expected better from such a nice hotel left feeling disappointed.

Our Second time staying at this lovely hotel and we will be back again. Cosy rooms, quiet area, friendly and attentive staff and a lovely Welsh style breakfast are just some of the highlights.Rooms: Cosy and comfortable.Food & drinks: The breakfast is divine. Selection of drinks, yogurts, cereals, pastries and a nice cooked choice of food makes a great start to the day.
