Fantastic evening with friends.... Our server was absolutely brilliant, so professional and engaging. A credit to the establishment, just wish I'd taken her name....

A classic proper Welsh pub. Big portions with great food. Atmosphere in secondary seating area could do with work, as top down lighting was very bright and felt canteen ish.Main part of pub very nice with lots of history.

This hasn't happened to me before,I walked in and ordered a drink, picked up a menu, and a gentleman behind the bar said, "If you want food, I'll have a table in a moment. People are just leaving "Then he said " we will look after you"And that was what swung it, food staff ,atmosphere, setting everything just worked. So enjoyable thank you ?

This was our first visit while staying nearby. We were glad we booked as it soon filled up. The staff were all lovely. The portions are definitely value for money and arrived piping hot, absolutely delicious. I would recommend a visit, so glad we did

Little gem, popular with walkers and locals alike. Food is homemade and very tasty. The staff are friendly and polite. Portions are quite big, and it's good value for money

Lovely warm welcome when we arrived. Our 2 large dogs and noisy Grandson managed to take over the whole snug, but the locals were so friendly and took to them straight away. The food was great and the staff were lovely. Will hopefully be back one day

We made a planned stop here on our way to Solva. Lovely old pub with two cask ales on. We ate here and the food was home cooked and very generous portions. We could not eat in the main part of the pub as we had our dog with us. We were in a side room near the bar. The atmosphere was great, very lively and lots of chat between the locals and walkers (visiting the nature reserve) who had popped in for a drink or a bite to eat.Parking: Free car park but can be quite full depending on the time of day. We found a space at lunchtime but it was the last one. Some people parked on the road nearby but tucked in.

Only a brief visit but really enjoyed sitting outside, taking in the wonderful view with a nice pint of Bass.

Wonderful place. Anyone could spend time just looking at the walls. The history of the place and surrounding, is so fascinating. The real ale [I recommend pints of BASS, but other exotic concoctions are sign posted at the bar. ]. It's a wondrous place and ticks everything in my hand book and bucket list!. Come as you please, work wear ,rambling, mucking boots cleans Outside as curtesy, dogs welcome, but not in some close dining area.Parking: Plenty.Wheelchair accessibility: BrilliantDietary restrictions: Ask and they will assure.

A very good meal here. We booked for a family of 7 and they were able to fit us in. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. There is a lot of choice on the menu. The pies were very tasty. The chips are also very good and well worth the extra calories! Based on the recommendations on trip advisor, I did go for the spotted dick pudding and it was very tasty.

I ordered a chicken madras with half and half tonight. The chips were white and the chicken madras I can only describe as being chicken swamped in a tin of tomatoes. No flavour and defiantly not a madras.I did complain and was offered a free glass of wine.I would not recommend eating here during busy periods. Not happy at all
