The cakes here are absolutely cracking. So good!! Loads of variety, so there is always something tasty to choose. I particularly like the Viennese Whirls and their cheesecakes, which are delicious.

What a gem!! Amazing cake, all homemade. You can tell their heart and souls go into this little business. We visited twice in our short stay away, it was that good. Excellent selection of cakes and pastries. We had a box of six cakes for £10 which felt like a really good deal. We also had breakfast rolls from the Bakehouse - these were huge!! They were so good and freshly cooked for us. We had to wait but they were worth it. Very friendly staff and very patient - takes a while to pick your cake when there's so much to choose from. Highly recommend a visit (or two!!)

Give the castle a miss and just come here for lunch. This is a small traditional bakery cum sandwich shop. My wife and I both had a packed sandwich which were both delicious and packed full. There was not a huge selection of fillings but the basics.And in terms of cake. Lots of different and generously proportioned options. Children that wandered in loved it. And so did I. The cake tasted exactly as you would hope....even the jammie dodger cake. And they also have a yesterday's discounted cake option to save some money for families - just by the till...so keep your eyes open.They also do a lunch meal deal. So grab the deal...And sit down near the water and enjoy your treasure.And the service was happy and friendly. Simply brilliant. I will return and not bother with Castles...

Fantastic birthday cake! I asked for a Biscoff birthday cake and was given some suggestions. The cake was beautifully decorated (drip cake and decorated with lots of biscuits) and was a generous size. The sponge was delicious.
