Afternoon Tea with friends and the service was superb. Not formal or stuffy, just friendly and efficient. I will go again for sure.

Wow, our meal at Ty'n Rhos this week was truely wonderful! The care taken from staff to make you feel comfortable and welcome was amazing, and the atmosphere was really lovely. And then the food! Oh my, it was the best food I have ever eaten, each dish is served beautifully and everything was cooked to perfection. We can't wait to visit again and try out the other menus and dishes. Thanks so much to the staff and chefs who obviously put a lot of care and attention in to their work, it really shows and it felt like such a treat.

Incredible food and impeccable service. One of the best meals I’ve ever had in terms of quality and simply enjoyment of hospitality. We were warmly welcomed and had a welcome drink in the lounge which was very comfy. We sat down to eat and the food and service was excellent, the perfect blend of fine dining, without the arrogance and with a warming pub like atmosphere. The dishes were the perfect balance, great portions and well decorated.I would love to revisit to try even more of the menu.A highly rated experience!

Stayed in the area a couple of weeks ago and had dinner here one evening to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. It was incredible in every way!The staff were so warm and welcoming, friendly and chatty if you wanted to engage or else leaving you to enjoy your evening. The atmosphere and details were wonderful, from canapés while you waited to be sat to the intimacy of the dining space...and the little wooden mouse on my cheese platter! And the food...truly sublime. Every morsel was delicious, one of the best meals I've had in a very long time indeed. Huge wine list to choose from plus a cocktail menu and very well stocked bar.We will certainly be visiting the area again and will be sure to book in another dinner here - or maybe several!

Beautiful comfortable conservatory. Tasty sandwiches and refined cakes. I particularly enjoyed the filo pastry mince pies. Non obtrusive but attentive service. When I asked for a speciality tea, it was promptly brought. Do make sure to book in advance. A well priced experience certainly to be repeated!!

My first fine dining experience and was very impressed. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. You certainly got the sense of luxury in the quality of the dishes and the care form the staff. Setting was decent and if the weather was warmer would loved to have dined on the patio. We had 2x soft drinks, 2x glasses of wine and 2x 3-course meals for £105. Not too bad and wasn't left hungry afterwards. This sounds silly, but the only thing that could be improved was that the plates/bowls were a bit poor. They didn't match and I feel some of them ruined the presentation of the dishes. The texture also made it awkward to enjoy all the sauces (in the relevant dishes)

Ty’n Rhos dining experience starts 30 min prior to the sitting (two sittings Tue-Sat) in the conservatory with plenty of time to decide on the menu, enjoy vegetarian sushi and olives amuse-bouche and relaxingly sip Sweet Sunset cocktail (vanilla vodka, watermelon liquor, amaretto and grenadine topped up with fresh orange and lemonade) Taken to our table we start with bread basket filled with warm sourdough and focaccia accompanied by two types of butter - traditional salted Welsh and creamy homemade one. My starter arrives and oh my! The plate looks incredible! BEETROOT TEXTURES salt baked, pannacotta and beetroot ketchup, Cwt caws goats’ cheese, serrano ham I also have a cheeky taste of my partners choice. COURGETTE, BASIL AND PARMESAN SOUP with rosemary and tomato focaccia Both explosion of flavours and textures! Time for mains and we both decided we love the sound of: CORN FED CHICKEN pan-fried breast, leg and potato croquette, cauliflower cheese puree, chorizo, asparagus and jus THE BEST CHICKEN EVER!! So juicy yet with the perfectly crispy skin on top! And the potato croquette!!! Can I please have a whole plate of them?? After two perfect courses I had no doubt that no matter what I choose for dessert it will be amazing. I was waiting for an ideal moment to try Welsh cheese and that moment finally came! WELSH ARTISAN CHEESES - four Welsh cheeses, house chutney, apple, grapes, rich fruit cake and Artisan crackers. Perfectly selected four: RED STORM – SNOWDONIA Produced by Snowdonia cheese company this vintage pasteurised red cheese has a sweet and surprisingly complex flavour with a refined nutty texture. GORWYDD CAERPHILLY – CAERPHILLY Produced by Neal’s Yard Dairy matured for longer than most a densely crumbly cheese with scents of lemon and cream. GOLDEN CENNARTH – CARDIGAN, WEST WALES A small family enterprise in west Wales. This is an organic cider rind-washed cow’s milk cheese of the ‘brie’ style. It has a savoury flavour with nutty overtones with a smooth finish. PERL LAS – CARDIGAN, WEST WALES A blue-veined organic cow’s milk cheese, it is golden in colour with a gently salty taste with a creamy richness. I loved every single one! My partner’s dessert was also extremely good! TY’N RHOS CHOCOLATE dark, milk and white chocolate, sour cherries, gingerbread.

Stayed 2 nights DBB. The food was remarkable. High quality. All three courses first class. Lobster superb. Steak so tender. I would ignore the recent previous 1 star reviews, which could not be further from our experience and with few reviews to their name. Great service - owners really care. Background music was at an appropriate level and needed, otherwise it would be very quiet. Only negatives were having to order from the menu earlier in the day so the kitchen can prepare and the wine “mark up” was over 3x which is way too high for this type of venue. However absolutely superb food over 2 nights and a good breakfast.

Gone on - treat yourself! - I promise you won’t regret it. Food & service unequalled. And then stay the night for the total & complete double whammy

I’m a person who loves food, eats everything but I can be a little strict when it comes to high end restaurants. However, writing reviews is very uncommon for me. At high end restaurants one may expect exquisite food, wine and highly experienced staff. The experience at Ty’n Rhos was the worst I ever had for the amount of money spent. The table was dirty, wines tasteless, meat over cooked (asked for medium rare), French fries raw from the inside, lobster full of butter and there was no atmosphere. Due to COVID I believe (and hope) changes had to be made to the dining room. The photos on the websites and the three example menus online didn’t resemble what we received on our plate. I sincerely believe there was no bad intention by staff and the chefs, I, however, do wonder about their competence and knowledge. The website is harmful, as it promises the costumer so much more than they get in real life. We were so much looking forward to this evening and were so disappointed by the food that we simply started laughing and wanted to leave as early as possible. It’s sad, because it could have been such a wonderful place for dinner and a beautiful evening for us. I hope things will change, for the costumers and for Ty’n Rhos.

We booked a table for two after checking out the website with menus and pictures of the food listed there. This got us quite excited and we were looking forward to eat here later on in the week. However, upon arrival it quickly became clear to us that the promises made by the website would not be met in reality. Staff is friendly but is not knowledgeable on the food served, nor the wine. The biggest disappointment was the quality of the food: pre-starter and pre-dessert courses mentioned in the online menus are non existent. The canopees were four olives and a bowl of pistachios. The surf and turf meat was overdone (medium instead of medium-rare) and the lobster was far too buttery and still cold at the ends (although cooked through), which makes me wonder how it was warmed up.. The chips were not fully cooked. Also, upon arriving at our table there were still some breadcrumbs under my plate. Even if the expectations would be better managed by updating the website with recent pictures and menus, the food is still a disappointment considering the price. In that case we would not have considered going here and rightly so.

Ate here twice this week and both meals were excellent. Everything beautifully cooked and presented. Staff friendly and helpful. Coped well with the Covid-19 restrictions. Highly recommended
