Good little independent place with great staff. We had coffee and a cake on one visit and breakfast on another. Cakes were brilliant, breakfast was good but eggs were too runny for our liking and streaky bacon instead of back. Black pudding was excellent.It's very popular and sometimes you have to wait a short while for a table, but it's worth the wait.
This place is a hidden gem, found a few weeks back while searching for another local breakfast venue. The food, service, and cleanliness is outstanding. We've only eaten breakfast there and there's an excellent selection which is cooked well and very tasty. I have scored a 5 based on the location, food, and service. I always love coming to the swellies, great service and atmosphere and the food is always excellent. Came in on my birthday with my partner and had the halloumi breakfast, he had the captain’s breakfast and we both really enjoyed them! The lady who greeted and served us was lovely and friendly and the service was speedy.
