We arrived 20 mins early for our allocated time slot, but wasn't a problem. Luke our waiter was very well mannered and polite. Starter was piping hot, and so were the main dishes. We were a party of 4 whose food was all brought out together. Nothing was too much trouble for anybody. The complimentary chocolate and aperitif were a nice gesture. One small attention to detail that wasn't a problem, the starter could have had a slice of lemon to go with the sheek kebabs. Will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our experience from the moment we came through the door until we left, great service, especially Robi who made us feel welcome and were attentive throughout. The menu was extremely inviting with something for everyone. The restaurant was pleasant and inviting, spotless. The staff very well presented with impeccable service. Reasonably priced. Good selection of drinks. The food is gorgeous, very well presented and cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend it.

The experience was superb from the moment we walked through the door. The service is excellent and the food was delicious! We ordered the garlic 'e' gujrat, royal maharaja, spicy rice, Chicken tikka nan, Oh and a bottle of red wine. The price was very reasonable and well worth the visit!

Best Indian in South Wales if not the UK. Come frequently and never let us down. Friendly customer service and great atmosphere with a great menu to chose from. Food is extremely good and amazing quality and quantity for the pric. Sunday and Tuesday deal amazing for the price. Will 100% keep continuing to support the business.

Had booked for Christmas lunch, arrived and the premises is closed No call to say you were closing after we had paid a deposit as well After many years of coming here, we will never come back

Last minute booking for dinner. Speedy service, friendly staff, lovely venue. Great food, although the poppadoms were a bit soggy. Definately worth a visit.Parking: 2 and a half hours free parking, you need to input your car reg if you're going to go over this.

This was our first time eating in at Castle Gate although we have had many takeaway meals from there. The whole experience was a delight. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was delicious and prepared without delay. The clean and nicely decorated restaurant was filled with parties of happy customers making a great atmosphere. Really enjoyed my birthday treat.
Only 5 tables occupied but service really slow. Had to keep asking for our order to be taken , extra pickles. Starters slow arriving. Food was great though

Really enjoyed our first visit here with friends. Separate vegan menu with lots of choice. Delicious food and good portion sizes. We had onion bahjis and the chickpea curry for starters and the vegan korma plus the potato and tomato curry for mains. We also had vegan bread which were also delicious. Sunday night visit to the restaurant was disappointing because we were a group of 4 of only 6 people who were there that night. Food was loverly if a little bit expensive. Staff are loverly. Surroundings great. Not sure if the cost is turning people away.
