What a disaster of a family get togetherNo mixed grills no eggs running low on rollsThe spicy burger looked as if it had been run over by a tractor burgers were tastles rolls they had were mini rolls won't be going backAnd it's a shame such a lovely restaurant and barCouldn't have a mixed grill so I opted for the gammon then was told you can't have eggs but well give you a extra pineapple ?Place not what it used to be really gone down hillWheelchair accessibility: Flat area

Good place for a bit of food, as long as your not in a rush, as the service is very slow. And it wasn't that busy when we where there. Could do with it being a little cleaner also.

The food was nice but the service was appallingThere was 4 of us. We ordered our meals and drinks. The drinks took forever as with our meals.Me and my wife had our meals and finished eating but our friends was still waiting for theirs. We had to ask where the other 2 meals are which they finally got but forgot the side dish.Like I said the meals when you finally got them was nice but the service was appalling.Parking: Our friends had to park in lidls

Just called in for a pint, with a view to making a booking for several people. The woman behind the bar pulled me a pint, and I gave her a £10 note. She gave me the change and then wandered off into the restaurant, leaving my beer behind . Managed to get her attention, and she came back and gave me my beer.Normally, I would write this off as just forgetfulness ,we all get it at some point, but subsequently, when I approached the bar to enquire about booking a meal for several people, although there were three persons behind the bar, none of which were sèrving, I was ignored. I was seen by the bar staff, and there was . " else standing at the bar.I gave it 20 seconds but no one made the effort to serve me.So I will now go to another pub restaurant with the several other people in our group and spend our monies there. Bad customer service.Update to my review. We gave it another try the following evening, inviting friends to meet us there. Unfortunately, another poor experience. I stood at the bar and explained to the barman? Maybe the manager( he didn't identify himself) about what had happened the previous evening. I would have preferred to have been taken to one side to talk about my experience, but I was forced to explain what had happened in front of other patrons at the bar. Obviously, it's not a place to discuss negative issues. This was resolved with a 20% discount, which I was happy to accept. However, when we sat down, we noticed that several tables had not had the dirty plates removed after the guests had left and that there were quite a few chips that had been dropped on the floor in the area where people would walk, obviously a hazard! When we were leaving,we mentioned the dropped food on the floor to a passing member of staff, we were told . "It doesn't matter, it's okay. "My wife, who uses a crutch to walk, pointed out that it wasn't okay and that the crutch had slipped on a dropped chip, causing her to stagger to one side. When the food arrived, it was not the best value.Looking back on previous reviews of a couple of years ago, it seems that the Red Kite had a good reputation. Unfortunately, this is not the case now.I have discussed the problems with people who live in the area, and it is a general consensus that the Red Kite is no longer the Pub it used to be.Thank you for taking the time to read my review. Unfortunately, I live in the Canary Islands, and this was my first visit back to the UK since pre Covid.I subsequently visited the Cwrt Rawlin, which is also a Marstons Pub, and is situated opposite the Red Kite. The contrast was startling. Very busy, but staff coped well. A short wait for food and dirty plates were cleared as soon as diners had finished their meals.

We had the pleasure of having Christmas lunch at this establishment yesterday, my family were all extremely satisfied with the service and quality of food, moreover we ordered extra veg and roasties which was delicious but we couldn't eat it all as there was so much there.A big thank you to all the staff who couldn't do enough to make our day as perfect as possible.

Nice and friendly staff, good waiting times and tasty food. Accommodating when had to leave earlier and cancel our puddings due to the baby being unwell. Thank you

Christmas meal with a friend. Food was acceptable, I had the chicken tikka. The waitress asked if I wanted chips, rice or half and half. I asked for half and half. The curry was nice although it was only just warm enough to eat. The portion of rice was fine but not many chips. Dessert we both chose the sherry trifle cheesecake, advertised as having - cream, cold custard and freeze dried raspberries. Apparently not, if you want the last 3 things, as per the menu, they are “add on’s” which are extra! Nowhere on the menu did it say that. To top it off, when I looked at the bill I had been charged £3 extra for having half rice and half chips, apparently that’s an add on as well. Apparently, the waitress should have told me this, she didn’t. I just cannot understand why half a portion of chips should be another add on. Sorry that’s a step too far for me.
