Great Sunday Carvery - Dog friendly in Bar or outside, good selection of veg and choice of 3 meats. Definitely on our list for a return visit. Booking advised as gets busy and heard at least 3 groups told no tables available while we were there.
Whilst working the weekend in a nearby town, my company had booked me into a hotel in Newtown, which was absolutely atrocious - dangerous in fact, meaning my partner and I couldn’t stay the night and had nowhere else to go. This is when the Unicorn became apparent to us - we had rang round local hotels and B&B’s at 7pm on the night we need a room for asking for available rooms. A local hotel had recommended the unicorn to us - a phone call to Kath was made explaining our situation....read full review

We stayed here on the way to Dyfi bike park.Super friendly staff, room very nice, warm and comfortable, great food.They also got up early to cook breakfast for us as we wanted a early start.Will definitely stay here next time we are I'm the area.
