Soup was watery however, the burger was lovely. The fish goujons were dry and tasteless, with no hint of rosemary on the chips. Salmon pate was lovely but could have done with more than 2 skinny fingers of flat bread as the pate quantity exceeded the bread ratio. Lovely waiting staff, but I feel the overall standard of food lets them down. I feel you should be able to choose whether or not you pay a service charge rather than having to dispute the 12.5% charge added to your bill, which just makes it awkward for the diner. We were only happy with 50% of our meals but obviously happy with the service of the waiting staff.

The meal was delicious, and the set menu was very reasonably priced - £16 for 2 courses or £20 for 3 courses. The waitresses were fantastic.Unfortunately, we were sat by the window on a very cold night so we felt pretty cold throughout the meal. It’s also a dog-friendly restaurant which I didn’t know when I booked.Vegetarian options: A good number of vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: There were plenty of vegan dishes on the menu, with two vegan desserts available.

The food was good but cost £50 for two people for breakfast and coffees and the portions were not very large for the cost. They do have a very good GF menu if you have allergies.Dietary restrictions: Good for GF

First time visit and probably the last. Very average at best. My shawarma was nothling like the authentic dish and my Wife's fish goujons were bland; they didn't even have tartare sauce.Slow service, we waited 20 minutes for a pre-ordered apple crumble, which was not worth the wait.Sorry Bill - you must try harder if you want to rise above the masses of 'casual diners' to choose from in Cardiff.

Very atmospheric eatery in the Bay area, lots of activity around lunchtime with efficient and helpful service. Very clear advice on food content and allergies. They also allow dogs.

Bill's has always had great atmosphere, the staff training and attitude is always on point. The food, whilst still enjoyable, I feel has lost quality over the years. It feels like more and more the food is brought in batches, pre-made rather than freshly prepared in the kitchen.Still, an enjoyable experience that doesn't break the bank, and the floor staff do a great job of being considerate and attentive.

Went here for mother's day meal. Ordered the twice cooked chicken for myself and son and it was awful. A chicken breast which didn't seemed to be seasoned at all on top of tasteless soggy mash and fried chicken which was tough and chewy and only had a few specs of the truffle mayonnaise that was supposed to come with it. Not enjoyable at all. My husbands steak was also chewy and he did not enjoy. Will not be returning unfortunately.

Pricey for what it is, shawarma was nice but the £22 steak was naff. £3.25 for a diet coke and it's not even a pint, they just give you an 80p can. Automatic 12.5% service charge you have to ask them to remove. Just can't justify it these days, felt like a ripoff. Nice wetherspoons round the corner and another place called the dock, go to those instead.

Visiting Bill's for the very first time. The Big Brunch, excellent quality produce, and the trickle of red onion on the side of the plate - blended with those gorgeous free range sunny side up eggs, combined a lovely hint of sharpness with the unctious gooey egg yolk.Staff extra friendly and accomodating for my wife and her wheelchair.Special thanks to Gemma and her colleague, Meg, for a most memorable dining experience.
