This is my new go to in Cardiff. Absolutely love the roast platter and always ready to supply extra gravy if you ask. The cauliflower cheese is worth the extra as a

I went there today with my daughter and granddaughter and was disappointed. what you charge for a cream tea which was £30 pounds each person you don't get much and even though it was pretty quiet in there the service was slow.

Don't know how this place has such great reviews? Food was horrible. Went for Sunday lunch. Had to complain to get my money back. Nice venue but as I said food was literally boil in the bag veg and gravy granule gravy.

Really pleasant Sunday afternoon. We were dining at 1.45pm, as we walked in to Culley's we were greeted by a general hubbub of enjoyment and the sound of a good singer/musician.We continued and were seated by the bar. We both chose the Sunday roast at £15.50 each for a sharing platter and weren't disappointed. The platter consists of 2 Yorkshire puddings, green vegetables,(mange tout, peas and cabbage) chicken breast with stuffing, roast beef, carrots and swede and gravy.Parking: Parking is on street parking. Disabled parking directly outside the entrance to the Coal Exchange, free with a blue badge.

Very nice ravioli, but for £16 I would expect a portion larger than a starter size.Service was slightly chaotic today. Seemed to be overstretched by extra tables fitted in.Vegetarian options: Not extensive, and poor value

Have just got back from 4 days at The Coal Exchange Hotel in Cardiff for a reunion with 20 friends. We had breakfast each morning and had dinner each evening with a special Gala Dinner on the Tuesday evening. We hired the Carruthers Suite for the 4 nights. Food was excellent as was the service and the staff friendly and great. Would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone as my husband have eaten there on previous visits. Thank you and we’ll done Annalee and your staff.

Absolutely 5☆ once again The food is fantastic, service is fantastic, atmosphere is fantastic. The beef on the Sunday roast was out of this world. Everything tastes so fresh and home cooked and is piping hot. I've yet to find a Sunday roast that compares!

The food was delicious and great value. However, 1. I requested a round table - we didn't get one even though the restaurant was half empty and there were empty round tables 2. There was a lack of atmosphere and no music 3. I had let the restaurant know we were celebrating a 6oth in advance and at the end the waiter said "you should have let us know" 4. The kitchen door was left open so you could see and hear everything from our table.

Cullys is lovely; the vibe, decor and building all hit the mark. Service was also very good and they had a live singer who had such a lovely voice which added to the atmosphere. We were a party of 4 and ordered the Sunday sharing roast with a mix of Beef and Chicken. The meat was really good and the beef was lovely and tender, gravy was nice and rich, veg was nice but it was let down by one of the most important items - the roast potato. Had the roasties been crisp and fluffy then it would have been the perfect roast but they were hard and dry. Desert was hit and miss. I had the sticky toffee pudding which was a bit dry and the Bara Brith bites were not great. However, overall it was a very enjoyable lunch and good value. I will certainly return to try the evening menu.

Beautiful old building. We ate there as part of a tour. There was 32 total. Food was well prepared and efficiently distributed.

Booked the Culleys Bottomless Brunch for a party of 12 celebrating a 21st birthday. The restaurant team were super efficient and organised everything on my behalf. The party group had a fantastic time and said the food was amazing and everyone was very kind. So pleased I found Culleys - thank you!!
