Yesterday, I got charged twice for a Chocolate by one of your staff members. Today, I went back to the shop hoping for a quick refund, only to find out they've been experiencing issues with Monzo cards, which they failed to inform me about. The staff advised me to contact the service center for a refund, saying they couldn't do it on the spot. Now, I have to spend more time sorting this out. Quite disappointed with the whole experience.

The chocolate tastes very good at a reasonable price, it’s a perfect gift to give for Christmas to different chocolate lovers. The alcohol flavoured chocolate was very nice and cute.

Visited a few times and the food and drinks are always delicious however I find staff to be obnoxious and rude for no reason. I went in the other day to look for personalised chocolate but couldn’t see any, went to counter to ask the staff but they were all chatting and laughing, took a while for one of them to serve me, finally a man served me and when I asked about whether they do personalised chocolate anymore he bluntly replied no and walked away to laugh again with the other staff members. So I left.

I’ve loved visiting Hotel Chocolat cafes for years, and particularly this one. The staff have always been so friendly, but they do come and go. This time I was served by Ffion (sorry if spelling is wrong!), who was genuinely so kind and not to mention patient; I forgot to ask for dairy-free milk, and hadn’t realised she already started making the drink when I flagged it. I felt so bad. However, she straight away told me not to worry and that she can make it again. It wasn’t even that she remade the drink for me, but the way she tried her best to make sure I didn’t feel bad. She was incredibly polite and kept a nice smile whilst serving not just me, but others. Thank you for being so kind, it’s massively appreciated. It’s important to me to have staff who really care — as opposed to customers just being numbers (or names written on a cup) as feeling valued and respected keeps us coming back — and that’s before you tuck into the hot drinks here, which is for sure unrivalled by other chain’s hot chocolates!Dietary restrictions: Plant-based milks for no extra charge
