Freezing cold inside, rude and aggressive staff, cold coffee and cold food, made us pay £12.50 for two undercooked eggs on toast as "The chef doesn't like cooking it separately"Waitress went outside to by our window and gestured to her friend and then to us, then stood at the counter and stared and laughed at us.This place used to be great and I used to love having lunch here when I worked in town - now it's unfriendly, the food is awful and it's run down (Toilet door doesn't lock, upstairs always blocked off)There were loads of staff on and most of them were just on their phones or ignoring the customers. A few other customers complained too and were just shrugged at by the aggro waitress.Sort your staff out. I understand the stress of working the industry as I've been doing it for over 10 years myself but acting this way doesn't help fight your corner.

This place used to be so great, so took visiting family here and was very embarrassed with the result... Relative just asked a few questions about the menu and the waitress was pretty aggressively short with us. Food and coffee arrived cold and burned..then proceeded to get stared at with gestures toward our group by waitress who went outside, right by our window. We were made to feel like we were imposing. Really sad as this cafe used to be awesome. Staff need an attitude check. I understand working the industry is hard as I do it myself, but taking your frustrations out on customers that have done nothing to you is not on.

Lovely atmosphere in the midst of the arcade for a coffee or tea. Felt cosy and tucked away sitting at the mezzanine level!

My daughter normally loves poached eggs so I found it strange that she spat them straight out… until I tried my own and realised that it was more vinegar than eggs! Nobody needs that much vinegar when poaching eggs!! It was disgusting.

Don't know what the plan is, but the place is a joke. We ended up leaving after waiting 45 minutes after ordering and not even the coffee had arrived - let alone the food. When we politely asked the waitress why it was taking so long, and yet others who arrived after us were being served, we just got attitude and rudeness.Avoid. Would give minus stars if possible.

If I could have given a zero rating then I would have because there was nothing good about our lunch. The food tasted disgusting and was served cold. Used to love coming here but it has deteriorated badly. The place is unkempt and the toilet door doesn't close. I have literally just arrived home and the awful taste of my panini is still lingering. Will avoid in the future.

This place has gone to the dogs. Ended up walking out as service was so slow despite having 5 staff out the front. Poor service is a management issue and the place doesn't seem to have anyone working there who a) wants to be there b) cares in the slightest about quality of service

The cafe seems lovely at 1st with a good selection of menu options with sensible prices but sadly after a rather long wait we were served with the wrong drinks (they were also Luke warm) and my wife was served an omlette which was still raw in the middle. When we complained they simply took it away and the waitress explained that "it was mot her fault" but was unable to refund! We will look elsewhere in future. A real shame anyone can make a mistake but they handled in really badly.
After waiting 30 mins I was served a raw omelette and cold coffee and the staff refused to take it off the bill claiming they had no authority to do so without the manager who was not there.

A nice little cafe in the middle of the arcade.We stopped for cake and tea, both were very nice.The service was quite slow but there was only one waitress serving, and then they had problems at the end with the card machine causing quite a queue.Would recommend.

the hot chocolate was so bland- i did not enjoy it. there is this rude staff member who made me feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome. i wouldn’t not go here again.

The place is supposed to be open at 10 a.m. We were there to have our breakfast at 10 a.m. and we were sitting at the outdoor sitting area waiting for something to take our order. The staff came out and said that we are not yet open. We said it was ok. We waited for 15 min, then another staff member came and said that we couldn't serve any food since the chef was not in yet. She said that we can only serve drinks as we don't know when the chef is coming. We then ordered coffee and left after half an hour, and the chef did not show up.
