Stopped off for lunch. Back being run by the owners. We had an excellent meal of chicken curry (half’n’half) with naan breadToo full for desserts but they sounded wholesome.Log fire. Lovely atmosphereSally & Hywel

A quaint Welsh pub that has good food, a warm and cozy atmosphere, and staff and locals who welcome you with open arms. This is definitely a place I would go back to.

Dinner with friends some were vegetarian and ordered vegetarian turkey dinner I had to ask what was on their plates as it looked like cardboard. I ordered cod with chorizo which was just plain dry fish very overcooked with fried cheap chorizo and I think sprouts which came with a very small portion of frozen chips followed by baileys cheesecake but I couldn’t detect any Baileys. This is the most beautiful pub and used to have good food. I left there feeling sad and ripped off. They really need someone in their kitchen that can cook

Booked in advance the Christmas party menu, The turkey dinner was very disappointing, pre packed turkey, 1 roast potato. The highlight was the cauliflower cheese and gravy which was lovely and the only thing that was hot. Xmas pudding was bland and the brandy sauce was more like custard. Those that had cheesecake said it was very nice. We have eaten here many times over the years and never had food here of this poor standard before. Hopefully it was just the Xmas menu!

Had a lovely meal tonight. Lamb was beautifully cooked and presented. The other 3 at the table were happy with their meals. Pleasant service. According to my husband a lovely pint of guiness.Dietary restrictions: Aware of allergens

Enjoyed a marvellous meal, reasonably priced and served by very friendly waitresses in wonderful surroundings by the new tenants. The gluten free menu option was very much appreciated. Well worth making an effort to visit this venue, -we will again when we're in the area.Dietary restrictions: Catered exceptionally well with gluten free options.

Dropped in for a hot drink. A lovely, warm( fire lit ?), cosy pub. Staff were friendly and helpful as we needed to book a meal but were tight on the time, as we were booking a round our visit to Illuminate in December. Very accomodating. Menu looked fab. Looking forward to

My wife and myself went there on Saturday 28 October. The staff were great as well as the food. The only downside was the 1 pint of bitter shandy and 1 pint of larger shandy these were £5 each. I thought a bit expensive.

Regularly visit this pub, absolutely fantastic food, great atmosphere very friendly. Lots of variety on the menu, including home reared produce. Highly recommended.

Popped in for lunch, Wednesday early afternoon. Service was impeccable and the food was even better. Whitebait and breaded Brie to start, followed by fillet steak and a beef burger. Food was quick, as hot as the fires of Mount Doom and unbelievably tasty. Really glad we went out of our way to stop here.
