Cinnamon Indian cuisine
5 Mansel St, CarmarthenWe had a table for four and we all ordered different foods. Chicken Kochi, vegetable biryani, butter chicken and something the chef surprised us with. Along with bombay aloo, onion bahjis and nan bread. The food was very nice and flavoursome, the waitress was attentive but not overly so. Overall, it was a great experience. The only little thing I can moan about was takeaway customers in the restaurant area and the door continuously opening and closing. I don't think it would of been wise to have a table at the front of the restaurant. Apart from this it was great and we will certainly return. We'll done to all.

6 St Catherine St, CarmarthenOn Thursday 29 December 2022 at 2.30pm we were fortunate enough to secure a table, thanks to the helpful young lady front of house, who was extremely efficient, professional and courteous. The young gentleman who served us was equally as efficient and pleasurable and nothing was too much trouble. Our food, which was excellent, was tasty, hot and well presented. Cofio Lounge
The Guildhall, CarmarthenWent here for a warm drink and chat with a friend. We sat outside which was nice as it was too busy and warm inside to sit in.My friends hot chocolate came without Marshmallows even though we requested it on the app, she said it wasn't very "chocolatey" the mug and plate was covered in the drips from the hot chocolate, the waitress took the plate away and the tray so we had nothing to put out spoons or balance our mugs on. My cup of tea was tiny more like a cappuccino/ espresso cup. I will contact the lounge and review on website too.The staff were very rushed and casual with what they were wearing such as vest tops and crop tops? Seemed a bit to casual for me.I would return there for food as I have visited lounges before and I liked this lounges outside seating.Ordered via the app as mentioned it was too busy inside.Pretty old fashioned building with modern lights and interior and decor inside.Plenty of choice on the menu from breakfast to mains to drinks. When ordering can mention any dietary needs. Prices are average. Toilets inside. Not that easy accessible for prams and wheelchairs.Dietary restrictions: Something on the menu to suit allWheelchair accessibility: Outdoor seating but no ramp / lift to get into the lounge

Carmarthen Tandoori Indian Takeaway
119 Priory St, CarmarthenFabulous food and very polite and courteous staff. 5 star hygiene rating too.The House specialities are amazing.Because of its location at the end of the run of take-aways on the street it is often over looked however I would recommend you give it a try as it really is quite superb. In fairness Carmarthen has quite a good selection of Indian take-aways but this is up there with them.

Elaichi
Pentre Rd, St Clears, CarmarthenVisited for my dad's birthday, the food was incredible! Only minor negative point was that the service was a bit slow. The restaurant wasn't very busy, there were only 3 other tables eating besides us, but it did take some time for food to come to us. They were training new staff at the time so that may have been a factor.Vegetarian options: With the exceptions of the chef's specials, most traditional curry options can be made vegetarian.

Everything on the Welsh and English menu is genuinely homemade with no compromise on quality, flavours and portion sizes. Morgans Traditional Chippy
80 Water St, CarmarthenAfter not calling in Morgan's since new owners took over due to bad reviews. We called in today to try it for ourselves instead of listening to negative reviews. Firstly the food was first class for myself and my wife. Secondly our coffees were excellent. Staff very good and friendly. This is where we will be calling more often when we visit Carmarthen just as we did before. Best chip shop in Carmarthen without a doubt. Well done to the owners for keeping Morgan's going it's nice that some things don't get ruined. Definitely worth visiting.

41-42 Lammas St, CarmarthenI started visiting The Coracle decades ago, when I was a student at Dyfed College of Art. I haven't lived in Carmarthen since then, but whenever I'm in the area I call at The Coracle. I was there at lunchtime on 17/10/2023, and I was served by the most delightful lady. The steak and kidney pie was quite possibly the best I've ever had, incredibly meaty. I'll definitely continue my tradition of visiting The Coracle, it's the best chip shop I know of.

23 Lammas St, CarmarthenAs a non-vegetarian, i.e., dead animal flesh-eating local, I just popped in for a snack on a Saturday in June. 10 Nott Sq, CarmarthenWe popped in for a quick bite to eat. The Vaults is a lovely place, great atmosphere and food. Staff are brilliant. Friendly and professional. We had the sharing tapas menu of 2 tapas +a side for £16. It was delicious, the quality of food was great, and it was very enjoyable. Our only complaint was that the tapas only had 3 pieces of bread and 3 of the meat. Could have done with 4 of each to be a true sharing tapas, but meh. Otherwise, fab.

The New Curiosity
20a King St, CarmarthenWow what can I say I am so impressed by everything. Went here for my birthday on 17 March. I have multiple allergies and food intolerances so was nervous about going out to eat at a new restuarant. My husband booked via email and was emailed back a couple of times by Rachel about my diet. On the day Rachel and Dan had worked out a menu especially for my needs. I had the most amazing Sunday lunch. I was able to have mashed potato in a restuarant. I have not been able to do that for years. The food was amazing so nicely presented and lots of it. No attention to detail was left out. Thank you for a great birthday meal. We will definitely be back and will recomend to others.

Coracle Way, CarmarthenA bit of a treat as it's pricey but the Welsh lamb was the best I've had. The steaks looked very good too. We were all very full but couldn't resist the pudding menu. Would go again if in the area. Carmarthen is actually a very nice town lots of quirky shops and a once impressive castle that now has a town hall build in the middle of it which is a bit odd!

Karm'en Kafé
22 Bridge St, CarmarthenOne of the two highest-rated cafes/eateries in Carmarthen and absolutely deserves that accolade. Attached is Saturday 23rd's brunch menu for reference only.We (2 of us) received a warm welcome, inadvertently chose Kidwelly Castle table (where sister lives, all tables have their own castle name, cute touch) and the welcome was warm and efficient, distributing menus, offering drinks and pointing out the Specials.Dining partner had the Miso Mushrooms special, I had scrambled eggs, with a side of bacon and hash brown. What arrived was far beyond expectations, portions huge, utterly delicious. I normally don't bang on in too much detail but everything was utterly fresh, local, well-seasoned, constructed and creative (e.g. the mushrooms had slivers of brussel sprouts tossed through along with fresh herbs) and hot. Most important to mention - they were the best hash browns I have ever tasted (and I'm a food snob who lives in Australia where food is seriously good). The venue appears small but there's also a downstairs section expanding potential seating and the toilet was immaculate with individual hands towels ...The whole place was a delight, which very much includes those who worked there. Why only 4 stars for Atmosphere? Other than 1 additional couple also eating brunch who left relatively shortly after we arrived, we were the only people there. For anyone reading this ... Please make the effort and support this eaterie. It's worth every penny and needs to be in Carmarthen town centre for a long time to come .... Cheers.PS, I'm not related to anyone who owns this joint or works there ???

Pantglas Hall - Holiday and leisure resort, Restaurant, Swimming Pool and Gym
2 Llanfynydd Rd, CarmarthenDespite the obvious need for reinvestment, Pantglas Hall still offers visitors an appealing holiday prospect, with its charming location and access to numerous nearby attractions. Set within spacious and peaceful gardens, the wooden cabins offer comfortable accommodation and a full range of equipment and facilities, including TV and free wifi. The kitchen appliances are dated but serviceable, as is the furniture, but the beds are comfortable and the storage space plentiful. There are a number of amenities on the site, including an excellent and sizeable indoor pool. The Bistro os always open for meals and includes a helpful takeaway service. Pendine, CarmarthenWe visited The Springwell while on a family holiday in Pendine. After trying a lunch for two we returned for an evening meal. Each time we visited we were delighted with both the service and the meal itself. We never left hungry as the portions were generous. Mains and desserts were both to an amazingly high standard and the service was outstanding. Try the lamb shank and the duck in blueberry sauce! We were so pleased that we went back every night and took the family on two occasions. The children were very taken with the servers who were friendly and attentive throughout (above and beyond the call of duty).
