I had a roast here with my family and it was the worst meal I have ever experienced! The beef was thin wafer slices like ham and it came seepratley to the veg which confused everyone on the table.. the cauliflower cheese was half frozen and had a funny taste to it. And the veg was so undercooked and rock solid, it took strength to cut through the broccoli. Their seems to be pleasant young waitress but never asked how your meal was, it seemed like it was just a Saturday job to them and not to bothered about customer satisfaction. The Yorkshire pudding was drowned in watery gravey which some member didn’t ask for. The drinks came out 5 mins after the food, and all round bad service. The table was also very sticky and grimey Won’t be back, such a shame for this place.

Lots of staff working. Gluten free options available. Meals were okay. Table was very sticky even after asking for it to be cleaned, think it's the spray. Staff couldn't wait for us to leave.

Just want to say we ate on an evening busy with Christmas meals. Unfortunately a main somehow came out cold and strangely a coffee did too. Whilst the staff were great an initial offering of.... we're very busy we can't heat your food but . can give you a drink tainted the night slightly . Whilst I'm sure this probably isn't a common problem I can't In good faith recommend and wouldn't be tempted to try againin response to the owner. a tip was left as its good practice around Christmas regardless of how you fell the meal was. I wont argue with you over The comment as it was made and a drink was offered as an alternative.i dont deny the meal was remade and we asked if there was any way the food could be heated if you cant make a new one., this isnt a dig at your staff as by the end we had 2 meals . But was it a hot drink that came out hot first time? No. Was it a main course that came out cold first time ( chicken) yes.We paid for our food but i wont be changing the review.

Ordered a family meal tonight and part of the order was forgotten and then took 1hr 30 minutes to deliver missing food. 2nd time this has happened now. No apologies from the girl on the phone. Poor service. Family meal spoiled waste of £55

A very warm welcome. Good range of food and drink but not excessive. Great atmosphere, the steaks, sauce and everything else were faultless. Service was so polite but also gave us plenty of space to enjoy our evening. We will be definitely returning.

Had an amazing time! Had a party of 12 people and this was accommodated without issue! The staff were very young but very professional and incredibly polite! The food was amazing too and all on time which I can’t complain with! The mood in the restaurant was excellent. Could have asked for a nicer evening!

What an amazing afternoon at the Pepper Mill in Chepstow. The food was lovely and really good that some of the group could have Sunday roast and some had Italian. All the meals were excellent. The staff made our visit, for a Golden wedding celebration, extra special by playing our parents’ special song whilst bringing out the celebration cake. Marcus, the manager, couldn’t do enough for us and extra thanks to Imogen the excellent waitress.

Had dinner here after exploring Chepstow castle. Staff were friendly and attentive, providing good service. Food was good and the price for 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) was reasonable.

A very welcome place. We came as a big group (16) and this was no challenge for them. The staff soon whipped round requesting drinks orders and then the pre-ordered starters came flying out. Once done the next course was en route, with the speedy service this was not to turn table but to ensure we all had food at (around) the same time and could eat together, this was very well organised by a young man who commanding presents was that of a season restaurateur, very impressive (but with no name tag I don't know your name).Very very well priced meals and some reasonably decent drinks to boot.Well done team and it going.

Have had two meals whilst on holiday. On both occasions the food was delicious. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Our evening meal was taken without notice and although restaurant was busy a table was found for us. We booked for Sunday lunch and again were pleased with the entire experience. One member of staff in particular deserves special praise. (Sorry didn't get her name but we know she is studying in Coventry.) She went out of her way to make us welcome and made sure we were served well. Highly recommend this value for money restaurant.
