Really friendly staff and excellent food! Came In for Sunday lunch which was fantastic, the meat was lovely and tender and all veg was really tasty. Dee the manager on shift was friendly and welcoming showing us to our table. We were served really quickly followed by drinks and food arriving soon after. Pudding was delicious.

The rooms are a little too modern for my taste. No wardrobes or draws is a new concept for me but would appeal to a younger market. The beds are super comfortable with loads of room. The staff are efficient and very friendly. The breakfast is charged separately but the choice and variety of food makes it well worth the extra money.

Booked a table for food on a Saturday afternoon at 5pm. Place appeared quiet as there were lots of empty tables. Staff initially seemed attentive but overall found service very poor. Watched my drink waiting on the bar for 5mins! Food was good quality but overpriced for what was basically a kebab and burger. Once we had our food, we weren’t offered any more drinks or desert menu. Had to go up to the bar to request to pay and had to wait and ask several times! Manager Janine and her young staff didn’t seem to care much about customer service. The male staff member who initially waited on us never returned to us after the initial food order and was more interested in chatting to his colleagues, telling us how super busy he was or telling Janine off for the computer systems going down. Not a good place for locals to go which is a real shame.

The food from this place is absolutely incredible, but it’s just such a shame that the wait times are so long. Been here twice and was the same both times, waiting for approx 45 minutes between meals after finishing them. Staff are really lovely and friendly.

We had two excellent meals here whilst staying in the adjacent Marston’s hotel. Duty manager Emily was really friendly and provided excellent service during our breakfast visit. Food at breakfast was of a high quality and the continental section was continually replenished. Having been extremely impressed with breakfast service we decided to have our evening meal here also. Upon arrival for our evening meal duty manager Jannine was very helpful and ensured we were seated promptly in the restaurant. Our floor server Shianne was excellent throughout and the food was of a very high quality. This is an outstanding pub/restaurant which was impeccably clean throughout and has an interesting and varied menu. I would highly recommend to all.

We booked a table for a meal Sunday evening, when we arrived we were given a list of food items that was out of stock at least 10 of the main items on the menu. It was very quiet, no more than 3 tables eating. We had sat there for 10 minutes & no on came to ask if we were ready to order. So i went to the bar to order some drinks & advise that we were ready to order. Ince the fid arrived we did not get asked it we wanted any sauces or vinegar, I had to ask another waitress. We were not asked at any point how the meal was, not even when paying. We will never be visiting there again

We were originally booked to stay for one night. We were so relaxed, we booked for a second night. The room was spotlessly clean. The bed, mattress and pillows were perfect. In fact my husband and myself had the best two nights sleep we’ve had for a very long time.

We called in for lunch and chose meals from their £12.50 menu. We did not have to wait too long and the food was very good. The bar surroundings were pleasant and the staff attentive. We would definitely go back there again when in Chepstow.

We went to Chepstow with friends who were walking Offa’s Dyke path. This was a good location although there are some steep hills in Chepstow and we chose to drive to a restaurant on our second night. The hotel is modern and just opposite the pub. They were very helpful in getting me a ground floor room. Our room was large and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was served in the pub dining room and was good although the variety of options was a little confusing.

Just had a lovely couple of nights stay at the Two Rivers- really enjoyed it. Room was cosy, clean and good sized, and in a separate annex to the pub- think they must have good double glazing as we heard nothing from the very busy road outside!! Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice. Food in the bar was also very good- we ate here both nights, and enjoyed all our meals. And the staff are lovely- friendly, good-humoured and very helpful. Would highly recommend!!

Its 1.30am, not the best time to write a review, but I’m wide awake because the heating system for this hotel sounds like a washing machine on a spin cycle! Please could the management sort this out as I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through this hell,

Food took a very long time to come out. When we asked we were told they were doing their best but they had a table of 30 over there and a table of 10 over there. I pointed out that they were there when we came in we should have at least been pre warned of length of weight. Felt like it feel on deaf ears. Food was OK but nothing special.

A great few days away at the Two Rivers. The rooms are fantastic and the service and food at the pub are amazing. We can’t wait to come back again in May. We are disappointed that the lamb kebab have been removed from the menu as well as the pulled beef burger but we can’t wait to try the new board.

Stayed for a night en route to a family event. Lovely room, freshly decorated. Had a very nice and reasonably priced evening meal at the pub. Also had the English cooked breakfast which was cooked to order and should not be missed.
