Great place to stop off and take a break when walking along the canal. Doggies welcome outside. Great food and cakes. All freshly cooked and home make.

Excellent cafe that was close to Lady Margaret's caravan site we stayed at. Coffee and cakes were extremely good. We had a dog so couldn't sit inside but there is a undercover outdoor area with lights and patio heaters. Definitely return to sample the Hot food.

Wow, what a Cafe.I ordered Ham, eggs and fries and wasn't disappointed at all. The ham was off a joint and not out of a plastic box, and two nicely cooked eggs. My wife ordered Chicken, pesto and pasta and again was not disappointed. A good plate full and well worth the £8:50.The food is first class and all fresh, not your typical tourist cafe, far from it. I have eaten at plusher places and not had the quality of food that I have had here. Not saying the place isn't nice. In fact, the name cafe, doesn't give it enough credit. (May be worth changing the name, just an idea). They also do a good range of cakes and buns, or and freshly made sandwiches and quiche.Anyway, If you are around the area it is definitely worth calling in.PS. They also sell wine and beer ☺️If you like my review please follow me and have a look at my others.See ya.Parking: Loads of safe parking straight outside and it free.☺️

What an excellent cafe to visit either before you walk down to Chirk’s Aqueduct and Viaduct both less than 5 minutes away. Free parking outside plus friendly service makes this a must visit. Many of the items on the menu can also be purchased ie coffee beans, jams and pickles. Highly recommended ??

Incredible vegetarian Sunday lunch. The nut roast was one of the best I've ever had- stuffed full of nuts and seeds, the dauphinouise were sublime, the roasties perfectly cooked and there was loads of veg. 10/10 ??Also there's loads of outdoor seating & the staff were lovely. I'd highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Great Sunday lunch.

We came back here for "brunch" a couple of times during our latest canal trip. Th food andservice were just as good as before and this time we notived the long list of local clubs an activities they support. If you support this cafe, you will also be supporting a lot of good work in the local community. Of course, you could just go for th cakes, scones and other good quality and good valure food. Either way works. Well worth supporting

As locals to the cafe we popped in on our way shopping for a quick sunday breakfast and now wished we hadnt wasted our money. On the menu it says bacon egg sauage beans & toast = £6. I didnt expect 1 sausage, 1 piece of bacon for this money. All way overcooked and cheap bacon & tasteless cheap sausage. We will vote with our feet and not return. Service was fast and pleasant which is why we came but the breakfasts must sit around waiting under a heater for unsuspecting customers to arrive as it clearly wasnt freshly cooked. So disappointed & not a place i will recommend to others. Sugar dispenser was also very dirty. Kay

Unappealing, my fried egg was the worst I’ve ever had , almost raw white and broken yolk! 1 pat of butter to large piece of toast . Just about edible I suppose !

Very nice community cafe and a nice place to eat and unwind after a walk. Staff very friendly and food and drinks very reasonable priced.

The food, service, staff and atmosphere are brilliant here. We went as a parry of 7 all food and drinks came out at the same time, they were all hot and great value for money. I would definitely recommend this cafe to everyone.

Actually sat here now, outside, been waiting for our food now for over 20 minutes, service very slow, lady on the till didn't know what she was doing, had to ask for the table to be cleared.went to give it another try this week, even worse, the service was terrible again, they had out orders mixed up, despite having the table numbers, my panini arrived, my friends went to another table, so he had to wait. Mine was cheese and chorizo, it was so dry, I had to give it to the dogs, the salad garnish had seen better days. Absolutely awful.
