“Local fantastic, friendly pub with great food and brilliant staff. I moored up again this year and had friends with me and had no hesitation in suggesting we visit the pub because we have always been welcomed by staff and the locals.

I arrived a bit early ahead of my friends and there was a young lady on her first day being trained by another colleague, I had met the owner on a previous occasion so I know that she will be trained in the same way.

“This pub is like a step back in time. It's not modern or smart in any way but it is clean and friendly and scores 10/10 for views over the valley to the viaduct and aquaduct. Well worth doing the loop through the town and to the castle. A whole days visit if you do all these.”
