Village pub with stunning view across the river Dee.

Only here for the ? - two dependable standards on cask pouring well. Spectacular view from the decking front of house. Limited parking to the side of the pub which is ok as we’re the only customers.

Called in lunchtime Weds 15th March 2024, but was closed. Looked permanently closed, but can't be 100% sure.

What a great pub. Had a Sunday lunch (medium), it was huge and amazing food. Great price and a lovely atmosphere. We were staying at Lady Margarets Park campsite, and it's just a 15-minute walk from the site.Well worth a visit.

We had a Sunday lunch for four people, and it was excellent. The owners were so friendly and the locals, too. Good choice of beers, what more could you ask for.

We spent the weekend at a local touring site. Took a walk along the canal and had drinks & lunch here, lovely atmosphere & service and the food was amazing. Best lasagne I've had. We will definitely return.

A really comfortable traditional pub, good selection of ales, reasonable prices and pleasant service. There's always something on, usually a good crowd, locals and regulars. Family run and a friendly place to relax.

Moored here on the recommendation of a couple of boaters. Great choice! Good pub food, lovely beers, wonderful service. Quaint, friendly atmosphere. Will worth the stop. We can understand how people get "trapped" here. ?

We went as a group for the Traps Christmas dinner offer & it was truly excellent. The table was decorated really nice and festive,it is all home cooked food. The prawn cocktail starter had a load of lovely king prawns the main event did not disappoint with a generous portion of turkey plus plenty of the usual trimmings. The festive Eaton mess was a meal in itself ! Paul the landlord said that they don’t do doggy bags just suitcases. It was really good value for money too. I would recommend trying it for yourselves you wont be disappointed
