Went for Sunday roast, chose the 3 course for £18.95 (plus £2.50 to have all meats on roast) everything was cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly and happy to help. Only thing I thought was a shame was lack of customers and that’s a shame on them because they’re missing out.

I have just been here for a Sunday dinner with my partner who is a few years younger than me, when we ordered our food and drinks the waitress yelled over the bar to see my partners i.d but not mine, this was very insulting and embarrassing as I felt she was implying I was buying an underage girl alcohol, as someone who is 30+ years old i found this implication disgusting and offensive, and it frankly ruined my Sunday afternoon. As if this wasnt bad enough the food was made to a very poor standard, the veg was way overcooked and was like mush, we were only given two roast potatoes each and the meat was overcooked and dry.Very disappointed and upset with this experience. I will never be returning here and I advise other potential customers to avoid.

The Marine is a staple part of Old Colwyn. Popular with CBFC fans and locals. Good beer, good atmosphere, friendly service and generally a nice place for a pint or 3

Good local boozer, good for watching sport. Didn't try the food so can't comment on it .

Just had a stunning fish and chips, on a Sunday too. Bit pricy but my son was buzzing. Great fish and presentation and delicious home made chips.Kid-friendliness: Kids everywhere!

A little quiet, only had a drink. Menu looked a little expensive (but I think most places are these days!).

Overcooked roasties, one little bowl between two for 15.95 each and no potatoes. Very disappointing, we were offered a free drink or desert, to be honest a refund on one of them would have been better. We will not be coming again.

Had no food just a couple of pints.

Decent atmosphere. Nice people. Grim food. I liked the staff a lot - what they lack in service polish they make up in kindness, and the place is actively friendly to dogs. Indoors is roomy and nice, outdoors okay though a bit concretey and close to traffic. The food is edible, it'll keep you alive if you're hungry, but it's straight out of the more painful bits of the 1980's. Nice meat, acceptable gravy, vegetables... oh god, the poor vegetables. And how do you make stuffing taste watery? If I ever go back, it's just for beer and pork scratchings.
