Great pub. They were so welcoming. Made us feel like we had been many times before.Made a fuss of our dogs and gave them treats.Good range of ales.Wonderful open fire.Would definitely recommend

We visited as it's in the National Inventory of Historic Pubs.Wow, this is the sort of pub that you'd love to be your "local". We tried several different beers, including the two Purple Moose, and all were in superb condition.Can't wait to visit again!

A little slice of heaven for any beer drinker or CAMRA member, a pub that is a proper pub where the beer is the star of the show, the main event and nothing to detract from that. Worth trying a pallet of beers if you are just visiting 3 third of a pint to sample. Staff are friendly and helpful. A welcome change from you publico chain pubs, so support it and pop in for a half or a pint, there's something for everyone.
