The chips were delicious although there were a lot of bits too. The battered fish was a disappointment. The batter was soft & the fish dry, as if it had been standing for a while.

We visited Conwy town for the day and with recommendations from a person whom we spoke to that day we decided to visit The Archway's and we both got the deal which was fish and chips each with bread and pot of tea. We had cod ,chips and mushy peas first class,it was busy,service was friendly and quick,the only problem was the bottle beer was expensive.

Location perfect …Normally visit Archers when we are in and around Conwy..Up until the present service plus ..Fish/ chips were always faultless…. On this occasion Ordered the 2 specials that included tea / bread / butter… Arrived with no peas..which we thought must have been taken off the special menu..?? no salt in salt pot…we watched other diners also with no salt in pots..?? Waitress oblivious to the no salt issue from a guy at another table who was banging the salt pot trying to retrieve salt… A pretty tasteless meal…unsure if the fish was actually cod…unsure if the bread had been buttered…all in all a poor meal…it’s a ?. From us

The best haddock and chips, with mushy peas, that we have ever had! (and we have had them from many places!) Everything was perfectly cooked and the haddock was very fresh. Service was great; quick and friendly. We went back several times over a week and they were consistently spot on! Cannot recommend them highly enough.

The fish and chips I had from here were absolutely delicious best I've had for a long time. Will definitely go there again. Chips are fab crispy golden and not all clagging together like some outlets. I ate every last one outside in the sunshine in the nearby square. Prices are good too. Loads of benches and a fountain to enjoy. Al fresco dining on the cheap.

Superb, fish chips, tuna salad sandwich, pot of tea, all delicious, our family all agreed, clean plates all round. Dog friendly too, our dog was very quiet and well behaved. The staff were very polite and attentive. Would definitely return next time I am in Conway. The whole inside filled up quickly so get there as early as you can for lunch or be prepared for a wait, it will be well worth it

Ordered 3 fish and chips and 2 sausage and chips. The food was cold and all very tasteless. The fish was flat and very dry. 0 The sausage and chips consisted of 1 small sausage and some chips. Not even enough for a child. Very disappointed as were my family from London. Won't be coming again.
